Works like a charm for upgrading Windows 10 to Windows 11 in place! 1) Disconnect from the internet 2) Run the script and select option 2 3) When the process finishes run SETUP from the newly created 'fixed" ISO 4) After 1 hour (or less depending on the CPU) you are running Windows 11 and all your previous (windows 10) device drivers work! ... Tested on various systems with Intel i5, i7 processors from 2012 since 2016. Thank you !!!!
i really don't know, i thought the same thing maybe @Enthousiast can explain it when he has time i also upgraded my laptop with the same ISO, regular upgrade from windows 10 (with internet disconnected) and all went fine and works great.
My laptop has tpm2.0. Only issue is processor is i5 7th gen. Currently on windows 11 preview channel and there is no option to go to release channel. What should be the path in my case. I dont want a clean install.
Try https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...t-microsoft-account.80145/page-2#post-1692283 to leave the IP channels.
Hi, there is a procedure to install W11 (clean installation), in dual boot, since I tried during the installation to insert the registry keys "BypassTPMCheck & SecureBoot", but when it comes to reboot after the updates it stops? I thank
Why not just install it on another partition/disk from boot and it will be dual boot, like it always was done.
Probably to get more people to use it and eventually MSFT expects more people wanting to keep using it, people buy the new hardware.
Maybe, BUT this goes against everything M$ stands for. In time we will know why?????? I am reminded of the ol saying "Beware Greeks bearing gifts".
I mean no appraiserres.dll in installed Windows 11 after upgrade using option 2, this .dll is only in ISO and does not installs in W11?
During upgrade the sources folder files from the ISO are copied to the BT~sources\sources folder, including the appraiserres.dll (if not removed from the ISO).
