Hi I tried to patch the Windows 11 iso with no success. I downloaded the latest build 22000.434 from the updump site, put the ISO in the win11 folder, ran the cmd key 2 file as administrator, waited for the end of the process where I then got the new iso pacthata. I try it on a virtual machine and it does not boot, no operating system tells me, instead with the original MS consumer iso where having it pacthata everything works. am I wrong something ..?
Ventoy takes care of the Windows 11 restrictions now. Just used it on an unsupported machine and it worked like a charm.
I have the same problem, build 22000.434 is not working in UEFI boot mode, but LEGACY BIOS mod is bootin succesfully... tried in VirutalBox and VMWARE... waiting for new build
It still is not fixed by MSFT and probably will never be fixed by them, it's the updating of the iso boot files that's causing it and with the latest UUP>ISO and W10UI scripts it's fixed, now there is an option to skip updating bootfiles and it's set to skip them by default.
OK, I ran into this problem loading on a machine, no biggie really, just switched to legacy mode and fixed BUT As a computer noob, is there a way of getting an installed Windows 11 that wont boot UEFI mode, to boot in this mode. Just wondering for future reference.
The problems only applies to ISOs who have the ISO boot files updated, officially published MSFT ISOs don't have the UEFI boot problem. W10UI and UUP>ISO now have skipbootfiles set to 1 by default.
Thanks for the reply, So basically if the loaded version on a machine has the UEFI problem and you have to use legacy mode, the solution is download an up to date version of Windows 11 and reload the machine in UEFI mode.
