Of course WU works. 22621.382: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...hannel-ni_release.85327/page-125#post-1755874
Hi, has anyone had any problems opening the fix after downloading. I tried downloading from both links on the first thread and they download ok and when you open them the open ok but you cant copy to a folder or extract..they just error? I've tried disabling antivirus...Any ideas or is there a different link i should be using thanks.
never ever any problem here since day one Win_11_Boot_And_Upgrade_FiX_KiT_v2.2 was released all time working.
Define "problem". A a vastly regressed GUI and usability IS a (HUGE) problem, no matter if your system is crashy or rock solid.
He has a very specific system, multi cpu workstation. @Zardoc, considering the 2 cpu's, try Enterprise instead of Pro.
Speaking of multi CPU *OBVIOUSLY* they aren't the problem. Two CPUs can be managed happily by NT4 from '96, I guess that Win 11 (even core edition) can do that as well (especially considering that in 2022 is practically impossible to have a single core CPU even in the cheapest and ugliest HW you can buy)
What counts is what you configure inside VMware, not the underlying HW. (unless a proper BUG in VMware)
Thank you for your opinions ! I would like to emphasize that it is a virtual machine, only used to evaluate what awaits us in the next versions of Windows and absolutely not for production. It is not for me to find a version that works, but to anticipate the problems that we might encounter in future "stable" versions of the system. For this purpose, all software "layers" are installed with the latest available version and the problem can reside in different places. All other things being equal, neither the configuration of the physical machine nor the underlying software has changed. It's only the last three development versions of Windows 11 that no longer work under VMware Workstation (I'll try under ESXi later...). Under this software, there are two ways to bypass the hardware requirement to use Windows 11: - The first is to completely emulate the CPU by activating VMware's TPM 2 option and encrypting the machine (otherwise it won't work!) - The second is the one I used, which consists in modifying the ISO by "Win_11_Boot_And_Upgrade_FiX_KiT_v2.2", which for the moment does not work anymore. Hence my message! If you are still interested, I will keep you informed of the evolution on other computers (I also have PowerEdge, to do the tests).
Perhaps which version of vmware? 16.2.x is absolute crap, I suggest to test 16.1.x or 15.5.7 You don't need any of such things (like on physical machines). Just deploy (not setup) on vhdx and then convert it to vmdk (or use the vmdx as is), and Win 11 will work even on a 15 years old PC or on VMware 10. Patched ISOs (and ISOs in general) makes sense only to do in place upgrades.
hello I used your system to install windows 11 on old hardware, I only had the 22H2 update and it was released and for 15 days I didn't receive it, it's normal or I still have to wait for windows update to update me offer thank you
This fix tool is for fixing ISOs to be able to install on unsupported systems, it doesn't fix feature updates by WU and simple hotfixes don't check the minimum system requirements.
