Thanks for making this....I have used it alot. But I have to ask...is there anything avalible to allow a bare metal recovery image to restore to a stock/stable version of Win11? This year the builds have been driving me crazy.
If it is an install.wim/esd Dism apply image should be able to do that. If the restore image doesn't use setup it should also work fine, only setup checks for the system requirements.
So, if this is a viable option to keep all files and installed programs and downgrade for win 11 pro insider preview 25921.1000 to pro stock and basically leave the program has anyone tried or is there an recent guide or tutorial or hack to leave downgrade to stock and keep everything?
It is not a downgrade tool, it enables you to install Win 11 on older and unsupported hardware. To go from Canary to retail you need to do a clean install.
hi @Enthousiast will this kit work same way on 'Windows_InsiderPreview_Server_vNext_en-us_25941' as it does on Windows 11 ISOs... bypassing TPM, UEFI requirements? Many thanks in advance.
Ohh I have always used option 2 of your fix kit and so far it has worked for this particular BIOS-only machine (No TPM/UEFI/Secure Boot at all). What option would you recommend.. I would like to know for future installations. Many thanks.
@xscess So far, I've always used UFWS option (1) and there hasn't been a computer I couldn't install windows 11 on.
Created twice a 22621.2283 iso via UUPDUMP local server from @Paul Mercer and i got same error "Detecting setup.exe version failed" Code: ============================================================ Win 11 Boot & Upgrade FiX KiT v3.1 By Enthousiast @MDL... ============================================================ ================================================================================ Select the desired FiX... ================================================================================ [ 1 ] This option mainly utilizes UFWS v1.4 (recommended option). - It circumvents all Win 11 minimum requirements (CPU-RAM-Disksize-TPM-Secureboot). - This works for clean installs and upgrade scenarios using standard setup. - You have chosen to NOT integrate the Diskpart & Apply Image script (v1.3.1). - You have chosen to NOT copy the generic EI.CFG file. ================================================================================ [ 2 ] - This option modifies boot.wim registry to skip the SB, RAM, DiskSize and TPM 2.0 check and replaces "appraiserres.dll" with one from Win 10 (You can insert your own in the Files folder, by default it's one from a 15063 ISO). - You have chosen to NOT integrate the Diskpart & Apply Image script (v1.3.1). - You have chosen to NOT copy the generic EI.CFG file. This method enables you to: - Use the standard Win 11 setup for clean installs on devices without: Secure Boot, TPM 2.0, DiskSize <52GB & RAM <8GB. - Use the alternative Diskpart & Apply Image installation script for clean installs. - Circumvent "TPM 2.0 is required" error when (inplace) upgrading. - Enables to install on LegacyBIOS/MBR only systems. - Circumvents the 64GB (52GB) minimum disk size check. ================================================================================ [ 3 ] - This option combines option 1 and option 2. ================================================================================ This only applies to Option 1, 2 and 3!!! - For when public release (all Win 7/8/10) to DEV channel release ISO upgrades fails, i've put in a cmd called "Upgrade_Fail_Fix.cmd", run this as admin, after rebooting you can simply run standard setup. ================================================================================ [ 4 ] - Puts the Win 11 install.wim/esd in a Win 10 ISO.
