Hello; I have a system configuration that is not compatible with Windows 11. I am fully satisfied with the script 1.8 I tested the learning method learning.sdb out of curiosity. It was far too simple to work. I thank you again because I can not afford to change pc soon. my English is translated from French I hope that interpretation does not distort my thought too much.
In general i don't use clean install because you have to reinstall your applications and this may be very, very painful. For a clear install, i agree with you, your script is adequate. The avantage of the appraiser.sdb trick is that you can use an untouched iso for in-place installation. But your script can do the job.
Considering (inplace) upgrades can be performed from an extracted ISO, you can easily replace* the appraiserres.dll too, before starting setup. *Some claim only deleting the existing one should work but i've never tested that, my script just renames the existing one to .bak and puts the one from a 1703 ISO in the "Sources" folder and recreates the ISO.
hello; I restored my Windows 10 And I just reinstall Windows 11 with Setup and appraiser.sdb.bak in source. The installation took place without problems about 30 minutes. I did not try but I think that replacing the file appraiserres.dll you to install Windows 11 on Windows 10
@loader24 Did you read the thread title and the OP? It is about the tool that does apply all needed fixes in a few seconds?
I have only now come across this windows fix kit. Kindly advise on the password required for extracting the files from the downloaded zip file. Also if there is a specific section on these forums on using the kit? My primary aim now is to solve the requirement for validating the windows product code when upgrading from W10 to W11. I understand I must add the correct ei.cfg detail to teh sources folder for W11? Thanks Jonathan
It should actually not be needed, but the tool project folder contains the needed ei.cfg inside the ei_cfg folder, put it inside the win 11 "ISO:\Sources" folder.
Hi, thanks for all the hard work into making this script. Do the registry edits allow you to join the insider preview and upgrade despite not having the "requirements" to run win11? Do I have to create a new win 11 iso using this script every time a new insider preview gets released? Thanks again.
The registry edits are done on boot.wim index 2 (setup), only to bypass the tpm 2, secure boot and ram checks when clean installing. Use https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...without-microsoft-account.80145/#post-1670528 for enrolling into the dev channel, atm it's not needed to get the 22000.xxx hotfixes. For when newly compiled feature updates get released, this reg entry by @abbodi1406 should enable it: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...fications-overview.83744/page-13#post-1677184 If the registry fix above doesn't work, you can create the new ISO at uup dump and run the script option 2 to create an ISO to use for the upgrade.
Thank you - I take note. Can you assist on the required password for unzipping the downloaded zip file for the Fix Kit?
