Where is "appraiserres.dll"? The clean installation is not good.

  2. inside "sources" directory of your w11 iso.

What do you actually mean to say? appraiserres.dll is only used for upgrades and not needed anymore with the new version v2.2.

    Thank you everyone.
However, uupdump's clean installation of 22494.1000 says "does not meet the minimum requirements" and can't move on.
    upgradeKitV2.1 works well.

Hello guys, what is the recommended way upon using this fix kit in installing windows via flash drive.

    1. Rufus ?
    2. Ventoy?

    What are other methods?

    Hi, @Enthousiast

The "ei.cfg" file can be used with a consumer edition or it must be volume?

Literally any way you can think of. The fixed iso is no different than any other untouched iso(within the context of making bootable media for installation).

    @Enthousiast
The script fails when the W11 iso name contains spaces. Proposed fix :
    Replace statement 109 by
    Code:
    for /f "delims=" %%i in ('dir /b Source_ISO\W11\*.iso') do bin\7z.exe e -y -oTEMP "Source_ISO\W11\%%i" sources\setup.exe >nul
    Replace statement 175 by
    Code:
    for /f "delims=" %%i in ('dir /b Source_ISO\W11\*.iso') do bin\7z.exe e -y -oWORK\Sources "Source_ISO\W11\%%i" sources\install.* >nul

Never got why people use spacings in ISO file names (and the labels), but will fix it tomorrow using your suggested code, along with some minor stuff and the set... for the diskpart & apply image script insertion:)

If the diskpart & apply image script is not applied, boot.wim optimization is useless.

Yeah, but i will try to do it correctly:)

EDIT: it still cleans up the [DELETED] folder from boot.wim.

You guys are doing well, so I'm not sure.
    however,For a clean installation, I think boot.wim also needs a UFWS script.

Interesting behaviour re upgrade from 10 to 11, rufus vs MDL-fix:
Using the setup.exe from a win11 iso generated by rufus using the "extended option" for legacy pc,
upgrade is denied due to tpm etc. A clean install via the rufus iso works ok.
Using the setup.exe from a win 11 iso generated by MDL-fix, everything works great !!
Rufus only for clean install then ?

@snofte A portion of your question is for the Rufus thread, not here.
The other portion is kinda confused. Yes, confusED, not confusING. You're quoting a person who asked what to do AFTER using this win11 fix kit. That has nothing to do with how Rufus' "win 11 option" works, since the iso image is already modified and covers BOTH scenarios(upgrade and clean install).

    Interesting behaviour
English language can be confusing for foreigners. Looked up dictionary : Confusing and Confused can be used to describe the same nouns. I have looked up the definitions of both of the terms only to find that they are indistinguishable. In Oxford Learner's Dictionary,
As to rufus vs mdl-fix: Thought ajak31 wanted i discussion rufus vs mdl-fix. But you dont have to mock me if I misunderstood.

Ok. Let's do it this way:
You're already mentioning another tool, which has a fundamentally different purpose, even if it has some magical option baked into it.
Again, if you have a question about Rufus, why are you here instead of the Rufus thread?
If you're quoting a person who just wants to create a bootable media with an already modified iso, what is the connection between his/her question and your issue with Rufus? If you're using an already modified iso(fix kit), there's no reason to further modify the install media with other methods. People made something work, you don't need to "make it work" again...

In the end, don't look for problems where there are none and don't rush to wrong conclusions.

I am afraid you have misunderstood. I was in the mdl-fix thread because I wanted to give honours to the mdl-fix
which is amazing, can handle both clean installs and upgrades. As oposed to rufus which seems only to
handle clean installs. And I never suggested trying to modify an already "fixed" iso ("double-fix"), both
my mentioned cases referred to an original (non-fixed" iso. Think we should stop here.
    Conclusion: MDL-fix is best !!!!
