SOLVED ! Thanks to excellent advise on this forum. How I did it: 1. Cloned my working 21h2 hdd to a working hdd.copy, and booted the clone. 2. Cleaned to pc with with iobit Advanced system care ultimate, then with Kerish Doctor. 3. Uninstalled completely the AV Advanced system Care. 4. chkdsk /f 5. Updated all drivers with iobit Driver booster. 6. Restart. 7. Started the Fixed 22h2 iso. 8. Selected NOT to install updates and drivers. 9. "working on updates" 31 % (I HAD ticked NOT to install updates, never mind) 10. Restart. 11. working on updates 100 % 12. Finished, checked with winver, says 22h2 !!!! Which procedure that actually did the trick, I can t say, But the result was fantastic !! B.t.w: A minor observation: Running the tool for creating the fixed iso, it finished with "Type a character for restart" . Did not respond, had to manually restart. Does not matter, thought I should mention it. Thanks again for excellent advise. regards snofte UPDATE: Tried another old pc with a clean istalled win 10, upgraded to win 11 i march 22 using the fix-kit. No problem at all, this pc not used since then. Now, using the fix-kit for upgrading to 22h2, I ran into the same problem as described above. Cannot understand why an upgrade was ok in march, but not now. Pc not used since march. Is it because the 22h2 is much more demanding or what ? Managed to get around the new problem by upgrading drivers with iobit-driver-booster. So it seems previous win11-versions accepted older drivers, wheras 22h2 does not ?? regards erik
@Enthousiast there is a special reason to use appraiserres.ddl from 15063 ? because 1809 appraiserres.ddl not have tpm and uefi
19041 neither, when it was first discovered (over 1.5 years ago) we used the 15063 one, now it's not really needed anymore with the current patching method and at ISO upgrades it can be replaced by setup with the correct one.
I need help from going from 21h2 to 22h2 Windows 11 I want to upgrade keeping all my files I used the creation media tool and got the latest Windows 11 iso I used option 1 I copied that to the source folder win 11 but when I ran the command it said no ISO file found So put it in the win 10 folder and it did run but It never let me upgrade. it could not verify if my computer was ready for windows 11 I did not make a tumbdrive HELP!!!
What do you mean by " but It never let me upgrade"? When running setup, choose the option to NOT search for update. You don't need a thumbdrive, mount the updated iso and execute setup.
I did choose NOT search for update and the program did run but I got the message that it could not tell if my computer was ready for windows 11 and stopped. was option 1 correct?
You need to put your win 11 iso in the source win 11 folder and then press option 2. you should be fine to go.
I did that and ran option 2 and it that was successful It made a new folder with the name fixed in it so I ran setup from there. Then I get an error about windows server not able to diatreme if the computer can run it and just ends

Latest test run with v3.0_beta5 Code: ============================================================ Win 11 Boot & Upgrade FiX KiT v3.0_beta5... ============================================================ ================================================================================ Select the desired FiX... ================================================================================ [ 1 ] This option mainly utilizes UFWS v1.4 (recommended option). - It circumvents all Win 11 minimum requirements (CPU-RAM-Disksize-TPM-Secureboot) - This works for clean installs and upgrade scenarios using standard setup. - Integrates Diskpart & Apply Image script (v1.3.1) for those who still like to use it. - A generic EI.CFG file will be copied to the sources folder. ================================================================================ [ 2 ] - Integrate Diskpart & Apply Image script (v1.3.1), modify boot.wim to skip the SB, RAM, DiskSize and TPM 2.0 check and replace "appraiserres.dll" with one from Win 10 (You can insert your own in the Files folder, by default it's one from a 15063 ISO). This method enables you to: - Use the standard Win 11 setup for clean installs on devices without: Secure Boot, TPM 2.0, DiskSize <52GB & RAM <8GB. - Use the alternative Diskpart & Apply Image installation script for clean installs. - Circumvent "TPM 2.0 is required" error when (inplace) upgrading. - Enables to install on LegacyBIOS/MBR only systems. - Circumvents the 64GB (52GB) minimum disk size check. - A generic EI.CFG file will be copied to the sources folder. ================================================================================ [ 3 ] - This option combines option 1 and option 2. ================================================================================ This only applies to Option 1, 2 and 3!!! - For when public release (all Win 7/8/10) to DEV channel release ISO upgrades fails, i've put in a cmd called "Upgrade_Fail_Fix.cmd", run this as admin, after rebooting you can simply run standard setup. ================================================================================ [ 4 ] - Puts the Win 11 install.wim/esd in a Win 10 ISO. (Provide a Win 10 ISO in the "Source_ISO\W10\" Folder). - This method is useful for clean installs from boot, using the standard W10 setup. - A generic EI.CFG file will be copied to the sources folder. ================================================================================ * Type your option and press Enter: 3 ========================================================= Extracting Source ISO... ========================================================= 7-Zip 19.00 (x86) : Copyright (c) 1999-2018 Igor Pavlov : 2019-02-21 Scanning the drive for archives: 1 folder, 1 file, 5662195712 bytes (5400 MiB) Extracting archive: Source_ISO\W11\en-us_windows_11_consumer_editions_version_22h2_updated_nov_2022_x64_dvd_c148a37b.iso -- Path = Source_ISO\W11\en-us_windows_11_consumer_editions_version_22h2_updated_nov_2022_x64_dvd_c148a37b.iso Type = Udf Physical Size = 5662195712 Comment = CCCOMA_X64FRE_EN-US_DV9 Cluster Size = 2048 Created = 2022-11-06 01:00:00 Everything is Ok Folders: 85 Files: 945 Size: 5656710338 Compressed: 5662195712 ============================================================ Adding Murphy78 Diskpart and Apply Image Script 1.3.1 To Boot.wim... ============================================================ Scanning "Files\murphy78-DiskPart-Apply-v1.3.1\x64\" 525 KiB scanned (5 files, 4 directories) Using LZX compression with 1 thread Archiving file data: 525 KiB of 525 KiB (100%) done ============================================================ Applying UFWS v1.4 to circumvent CPU-RAM-Disksize-TPM-Secureboot checks to install.wim ============================================================ ============================================================ Copying the generic ei.cfg to the work dir... Changelog will be: - Unified the old boot.wim registry modification\appraiserres.dll replacement method with the UFWS (WINDOWS/INSTALLATIONTYPE=Server) method. - Updated the code to be able to handle spacings in the folder path/name (code suggestion by @rpo) - You can insert your own desired win 10 appraiserres.dll file in the "Files" folder, the script will show what version it is (by default the one from a 15063 ISO is provided). - You can edit the cmd to disable the adding\replacing of the generic EI.CFG file: Code: ::Options to set by the user SET "EI_CFG_ADD=1" - You can edit the cmd to enable or disable the boot.wim optimization: Code: SET "Boot_WIM_Opt=1" (default settings for both options are "1" = enabled) Will re-check all tomorrow once more and when all is good to go it will be uploaded asap
