You ONLY have to run the small EP update and possibly reboot, then you are 25H2. No need to run Setup, it's not a full build upgrade.

    Yeah...
It actually worked, but I needed to do something similar to an in-place repair, but selecting "Keep apps and user files" failed due to the errors listed above.
I wouldn't want to do that because the ISO build is older than the one actually installed.

So far, I know Windows seems to be working, but everything related to the Microsoft Store is crashing and obtain an error.
I don't even know if it's a generic issue or if it's just me.

I never had any issue using an older ISO for in-place repair. Just the missing updates have to be re-applied after.

    Hi there!
I tried installing the fixed Windows 11 26H1 28020.1362 ISO (processed by FiX KiT v6.1f2) on VBox several times, but to no avail. The unfixed image installs fine.

Can you show a screenshot of what happens?

What fix did you select, 1 or 2a/2b? did you select [A], etc...

Change pix to ich9 in vbox and it boots and installs fine.

For some reason 'Win11_28020.1362.251205_New_ FIXED 2025_12_22' VBox go to install Windows server, unfixed iso installing without Windows server??

Server is shown when option 1 is selected, UFWS + Server.cfg file. It should not have any affect on the install when it is started, if it would have been a problem it would have said: "server can't be installed on this hardware".

Is not the original filename from UUP>ISO, what else is changed on this ISO.

You don't tell what you are doing, no info, not even if it is an upgrade or a clean install from boot, you don't mention the used option to fix the iso, nothing.

So to avoid it showing server in the titlebar re-fix the iso with option 2a and run 2b on the install you want to upgrade, if that is what you are trying to do.

And again, as soon as the sku is selected the problems should not be fix related.

When the SKU selection window or the setup window is passed then the tool did its job, any problem further in the process is not related to the tool.

I can imagine that the cpu is not supported, all before intel core ix is not supported, same for the amd equivalent.

If the CPU should be supported then you can try fix 2a for the ISO and 2b for the install you want to upgrade and next start setup.exe.

Thank you Enthousiast, the CPU is Xeon E5-2690, and it is not supported, but it does have SSE 4.2 capability, I thought that as long as those instructions were present that the Win 11 could be installed.

Thank you again for the great tool and direction.

There is another requirement i can not remember now, but officially only 8th gen intel core i is supported but all cpu's who support sse4.2 and the other requirement will be able to run 11.

    EDIT:
I remember the other one and it is POPCNT.

The Intel Xeon E5-2690 processor does support the POPCNT instruction as part of its SSE4.2 capabilities.

Thanks again Enthousiast, you developed a great tool, I just lack the knowledge to utilize it completely

Then that is not the cause of the upgrade failing, if it would have been a not supported CPU it would have been reported during the system check for compatibility.
