My previous message was for VirtualBox (sorry for any confusion), but I haven't tinkered with that variable since its inception. I'm using version 10.18a and it's UpdtBootFiles =1.

    UpdtBootfiles should be 0.

I mostly use W10UI on 10, not 11, Had a few minutes and I haven't made an ISO in awhile and just forgot to change the INI but I'll try to remember that for the future.

Updating the bootfiles causes this for quite a while now, that's why @abbodi1406 put in the option and set it to 0 by default.

Are you suggesting that I should return it to 0? (for 10 & 11?)

This works, at least on my GNU/Linux box, albeit one that has TPM, though not Secure Boot and "requirements."

Thanks for that account; it does work without Secure Boot. Excellent job!

Anyhow, I did try a naked image (i.e. unpatched Windows 11) and that one rejected the installation. Used a patched one, and it works.

Good work! Celebrating like it's 2022!

I'm sure your sick of hearing it, but MANY THANKS. The fix is a god send and one hopes it works thru the next few series of build updates for all of us on older machines.

I now have the original Windows 10 and Windows 11 in the correct folder, downloaded from UUP Dump.

I have this in the Source_ISO.
    W10
    19044.1682.220423-0003.21H2_RELEASE_SVC_PROD3_CLIENTPRO_OEMRET_X64FRE_NL-NL.ISO

    W11
    22000.469.220118-1733.CO_RELEASE_SVC_PROD3_CLIENTPRO_OEMRET_X64FRE_NL-NL.ISO

I have everything here, no spaces.
    D:\Win_11_Boot_And_Upgrade_FiX_KiT_v2.2

    Win_11_Boot_And_Upgrade_FiX_KiT_v2.2.cmd opened as administrator,
I see in a flash, checking for admin and crashed.

    [ 1 ] - Puts the Win 11 install.wim/esd in a Win 10 ISO (Provide a Win 10 ISO in the "Source_ISO\W10\" Folder).

    - This method is useful for clean installs from boot, using the standard W10 setup.
    - A generic EI.CFG file will be copied to the sources folder.

[ 2 ] This option mainly utilizes UFWS v1.4 (recommended option).

    - It circumvents all Win 11 minimum requirements (CPU-RAM-Disksize-TPM-Secureboot)
    - This works for clean installs and upgrade scenarios using standard setup.
    - Integrates Diskpart & Apply Image script (v1.3.1) for those who still like to use it.
    - A generic EI.CFG file will be copied to the sources folder.
    - For when public release (all Win 7/8/10) to DEV channel release ISO upgrades fails, i've put in a cmd
called "Upgrade_Fail_Fix.cmd", run this as admin, after rebooting you can simply run standard setup.

Seems your problem is not related to the script but most likely screwed up system rights.

    Can you try this?
Open a cmd prompt with admin rights and open Win_11_Boot_And_Upgrade_FiX_KiT_v2.2.cmd in it?
    or run this:
    Code:
    Win_11_Boot_And_Upgrade_FiX_KiT_v2.2.cmd 49127c4b-02dc-482e-ac4f-ec4d659b7547
ps, don't use option 1 anyway, it's not the advised option, use option 2, will take out option 1 asap.

Thank you Enthousiast, you are the best.
I have now tried it in a VMWare environment and it works perfectly.
So it may be because of my Directory Opus program that it didn't work, I'll remove it now.

I have already sent you a message on the dutch platform.

    thank you

There will be at least 3 files placed in the iso by your Fix.
    ei.cfg
    install.wim
    boot.wim

    (OP)
    Option1:

Only the install.wim/esd from the win 11 iso will be moved to the win 10 iso, and the ei.cfg is added for skipping windows crying for a key (optional).

    Option 2:

The win 11+ install.wim will be set to show as server, to circumvent the new requirement checks.
It adds the ei.cfg too (optional) and adds the diskpart and aply image script to boot.wim

Boot.wim is only rebuild and only when set in the script.

Only the install.wim/esd from the win 11 iso is moved to the win 10 iso ???
    I do not get that.

With option 2 I don't need a Windows 10 ISO in the W10 folder anyway.
I tried it now without the windows 10 iso.
And a new ISO was just created.
    22000.469.220118-1733.CO_RELEASE_SVC_PROD3_CLIENTPRO_OEMRET_X64FRE_NL-NL_FIXED_2022_05_16.ISO

Should I put a Windows 10 ISO in the W10 folder or not?

Only for option 1, option 2 (the advised to use option) is win 11 ISO only.
