are you overclocking your rig? if yes -> set to normal speeds remove a stick of memory -> try 8gb instead of 16gb if fail -> try other 8gb stick
yeah, Im OCing but the rig is 100% stable... I tested it w prime for hours. CPU temp doesnt even come up during install (Corsair H100i - I would see it via the LED on the waterblock)... any other ideas?
installation is about 1h30min in .... stuck again at "Setting up a few more things 3%" Activity light blinks every minute or so ... VERY SLOW
seems that it proceeds now far beyond the previous install attempts. Let it run at this point because you are almost done
negative unfortunately ... the first 5 attempts i was stuck exactly here EDIT: almost t4 hours in ... activity LED blinks maybe every 5 min now.. super super slow ;(
try another area of the hdd, yeah could be a doodoo spot on hdd getting written to at different times
Its a brand new SSD ... no bad spots there haha Ill try the whole thing over night... if it doesnt work in 10h then screw it lol LAST i will format C and do a fresh install, just to see if it would work then... I NEED an upgrade, I have too many programs installed I have a NERO BACKUP backup of the drive, so I can restore it in 5min every time
UPDATE: Its done ... had to uninstall ESET ... entire update took 20minutes! Left everything else alone (overclock, ram, etc). Just uninstalled ESET after running the compatibility advisor for 8.1
haha yeah... ESET 7 is back on that thing, no issues... start button fixed corsair link fixed windows updated store updated windows activated all good! thanks a lot guys!
oh good lord, glad you got it working. BTW, just because something is new, doesn't mean it isn't doodoo! lol
