Hello all I was wondering if anyone else is seeing this behavior with the latest Malicious Software Removal Tool from Windows Update on Nov.12th It seems its running itself on almost every boot up, I thought this was a manual program. I Installed Win8.1 again yesterday and got all the updates from Windows Update, Now I notice there is a "MRT" folder now in my Windows\Temp folder, the MRT folder is empty, I've been using Win8.1 since it came out and many installs of it but this is the first time I've seen this MRT folder in the Temp directory.
