Goodmorning to All, here my problem: my OS is WIN 8.1 x64. for my work , I need to restore a recovery OS image on different hardwares. It always complete procedure as well . the problem is when windows update check for new drivers it find the OLD hardware driver was in the original recovery image, is it possible to delete this old-hardware check on new recovered machines?
I've only done this with Norton Ghost 1 download the manufacturers current drivers for the second pc to a folder on a portable drive 2 Using Hiren's boot cd create the image to a portable drive 3 using Hiren's boot cd restore the image to the second computer boot the second computer to safe mode while crossing your fingers if the second computer is sufficiently similar to the first , boot will be successful then you can install the drivers from the folder, starting with the chipset, video and mouse The important part is if you can get it to boot is to install the drivers fresh from the manufacturer, rather than from the recovered image. Sorry for my bad english, is not my language. I know how to restore a -recovery image- on different hardwares very well , My problem is on the second computer: when "windows update" (win 8.1) checks for new updates ON 2' PC, it finds "later drivers" & "drivers" of the original image (first pc) TOO. is it possible to CORRECT "windows update" (win 8.1) of the second pc so hardware that is not present on second pc? example: -1st pc have synaptic mouse + nvidia vga -i made an image of this machine -go to second pc -restore image on 2nd pc -2nd pc HAVE elantec mouse + amd vga I boot 2nd pc , start "windows update" and it finds updates on synaptic,elantec,ati &nvidia could I re-set "windows update" settings to SEARCH only elantec+amd ?? I hope to understand me..
Now I understand the issue I thought update would switch hardware updates to the new computer rather than continuing with the other computer's hardware We need someone who knows more about this than I sorry ...T
