I am just thinking about something. The Enterprise trial ISO also contain all the other Versions or not? If YES, what would happen if someone deletes the "ei.cfg" File from the ISO? It means he could install also the other Versions or not? If YES, it also would be a trial Version or not? Let me know what you think.
the 90 days timebomb is not hidden in the ei.cfg file and so far any, if any other version on it, would stop after 3 months
I'm sure it's possible to patch this ISO.... Make a comparaison of the two iso's... (Entreprise Trial and non trial....). I think we can patch it, in order to convert Trial to "full" !
I don´t mean the 90 day time bomb, i mean the trial status, i mean a chance to change the key in the Version.
I am also sure, but i don´t know how. I can not do a comaparaison of the two ISO´s because don´t have the msdn one.
You can't use the Evaluation Version as full Version. I deleted ei.cfg file. Then in the Setup, you are asked to type in a Serial. The only Serial which works is the EnterpriseEval one. Another Serial, such as the normal Enterprise Serial, won't work.
Exactly. If you open EditionMatrix.xml, you will see that Evaluation is one of the Windows 8 editions. Starter Professional Enterprise EnterpriseEval CoreARM CoreCountrySpecific CoreSingleLanguage Core StarterN ProfessionalN EnterpriseN EnterpriseNEval CoreN There are many specific XML and security catalog files, no way to convert it to a retail, OEM or Volume licensed version. However, one can create a small delta file to convert Eval to MSDN. For x64 is around 165Mb and for x86, just 88Mb.
Two questions: So, it´s true the Enterprise Trial ISO only contain 1 image after you delete the ei.cfg file? If you delete the ei.cfg file and you do install the OS with the trial Key, can you change the key by using "slmgr/ipk...." solution after install or not?
i tried replacing the spp folder after installation but i think i used 64bit files on a 32bit eval which was a bit stupid and of course it didnt work gonna try it again later
i have installed 90 days trial period.. hope this will enough to expand my days or a lifetime period..
