Hey thanks to good work you do. Now to my little reflection. After that you could distinguish specific HP and Compaq. Then it should be possible to do the same thing with eMachines and Acer, as well as Packard Bell. All three have the same SLIC but something a little different in the information in the BIOS.When I install on my eMachines will show the ACER.Excuse my bad EnglishThanks in advance

:D ... well, there's @30+ brands already included in the Multibrand_OEM's folder; all with wallpapers, logos, reg files, and theme files ...many of those brands do not have manufacturer logos and wallpapers widely available ... so, I already had to custom make a fair few of them :D ...

I think it is a custom script made by searchengine to create a ISO with $oem$ folder.

It is very simply to use.

    :D

So how does the new biosrecognition works? :)
Seems alittle confusing to me atm!

well ... the old method looked specifically at only Bios Version strings that matched Win7 OEM ID's like "ACRSYS" "HPQOEM" "FSC" "FUJ"

The problem is, some brands use the same ID's like Compaq and HP, both use "HPQOEM" ... and Acer; eMachines & Packard Bell all use "ACRSYS" ...as we have seen, people with Compaq'a got HP logos and people with eMachines got Acer logos.

So, the new way searches the registry in more areas, looking for brand names like Acer; eMachine; Compaq; Siemens; etc ... and when it finds specific brand name, apply appropriate branding.

In registry??? Why do you want to to that? On a clean install nothing brand specific is in the registry, So why not just look/read this info in BIOS DMI area? My Acer says 'Acer' inside the System manufacturer field, and a Packard Bell at work reads 'Packard Bell' in System manufacturer field, example: WMI Win32_BaseBoard manufacturer field

The OOBE.cmd in the $oem$ folder checks WMIC BASEBOARD; WMIC BIOS; WMIC COMPUTERSYSTEM; WMIC CSPRODUCT for brand names Acer; emachines; Compaq; etc
