    Thanks for the reply. I made a test using the same method as the HP / Copmaq

    ::check for eMachines/ACER strings::
    ::eMachines string check::
    WMIC BASEBOARD | findstr "EMACHINES Emachines emachines eMachines" >nul
    %INL% SET MAN=EMACHINES&goto :EMACHINES
    WMIC BIOS | findstr "EMACHINES Emachines emachines eMachines" >nul
    %INL% SET MAN=EMACHINES&goto :EMACHINES
    WMIC COMPUTERSYSTEM | findstr "EMACHINES Emachines emachines eMachines" >nul
    %INL% SET MAN=EMACHINES&goto :EMACHINES
    WMIC CSPRODUCT | findstr "EMACHINES Emachines emachines eMachines" >nul
    %INL% SET MAN=EMACHINES&goto :EMACHINES

    ::ACER string check::
    FOR /F "tokens=2 delims==- " %%A IN ('"wmic bios get version /format:list"') DO SET QRY=%%A
    IF %QRY%==ACRSYS SET MAN=ACER&goto :ACER
    IF %QRY%==ACRSYS MAN=ACER&goto :ACER

    My first tests show that it works with Acer. I'll try on my eMachines, and hope it works.

    I got the last version working fine with my HP board, but the latest version (1/8/2010) without cert. installed so need to manual installed. (i can found the correct cert. inside the folder but it just not install), tried 2 times brand new install with same results.

    thanks

    I'm presuming you are talking about Downlink 1 ... for slic 2.1 bios? ...

    but, I suspect that HPPro cert from the Certificates folder was installed, instead of HP cert ...

    I've updated Download Link 1 with some adjustments to script that I hope will solve/fix.

    Edit:-

    Download Links 1,2+3 updated 04-08-2010 added more Certs and small script edits.

    This does not work on N editions. Are there other keys there?

    Ofcourse it doesnt work on N or E versions as there are no OEMSLP keys for them..

    You'llve to have use other software, its easy found too.
