Think youv'e lost the plot just because you can install it in x64 system don't make it x64. same as changing [VL] value to 1 makes it vlk version.

I am currently checking the x86 Starter Edition. After that I will recreate the Starter Edition with x64 components from an empty wim-file. So the new Starter Edition will be fully x64. That is what i mean by building it from scratch. I have not lost the plot, I am rather fully on track.

Tell us how you'll convert 32bit version to 64bit version please. that'd be interesting to know and what purpose it has.

7 Starter 32bit is rather useless for us..

    @Jachra ...

The files posted in download links 1&2 were specifically intended for folks that don't want to, or cannot
use dism methods to edit install.wim

The "editions" that the cmd file will pre-activate are stated in description.

The cmd script is using OEM keys and certs to activate, so editing the ei.cfg file
to "dictate how the setup will handle the use of a product key and whether it is
an OEM or Retail DVD" (post#62)
    is not relevent.

Deleting ei.cfg would give user choice of edition to install (without edit, as urie stated)
...or leaving alone, ultimate install by default.

download link 1 ... small script changes

I will do that at a later moment. When I am done, I will write a guide for this forum.

Jachra, it only started to side track because you posted ei.cfg no one would ever use and conversion of windows 7 starter x86 to x64 which aint possible.

Well, I posted it because there is a use for ei.cfg-file. You might not need it, but others might.

From my personal observation, you can make a Windows 7 Starter x64. I am not saying it is a piece of cake, but it can be done. Why do you think it isn't possible. Have you tried it. Have others tried it?

You really seem to think that by using an empty install.wim from x64 and copying x86 files into it makes it x64. it won't work i don't need to try it and neither does anyone else.
Anyway this discussion has nothing to do with Windows 7 DVD (Multi-Brand/Multi-Edition) Activation.

Thanks so much for your great $OEM$. I just think a question about the command line. I have a ASUS with SLIC 2.1. So I only need ASUS Ultimate - CERT, SLP Key and Logo installed. Please tell me What command line should I do for OOBE.cmd ? Do I need to keep BiosVersion.exe ?

    Thanks alot in advance.

Install premium 64 bit and turn ever damn thing off, get an ugly background with the beta fish and tell yourself over and over again it is starter.
