Hello. First I'd like to thank searchengine and everyone else who's contributed to this thread; I really, really appreciate your efforts. I bumped into the thread recently while learning to use RT Seven Lite and, after customizing Win 7 to my satisfaction, I figured I might as well make activating as easy as possible too. After a couple of days of effort that included--literally--reading the entire thread start-to-finish in search of answers, I finally succeeded and, in an attempt to give something (however slight) back, I'd like to offer a couple of humble suggestions so that in the future other people wanting to gain knowledge and people willing to give of their knowledge can perhaps save time. My first suggestion would be to add a bit of information on virtual machine testing at the end of the "~Theme & Activate~ adding $oem$ folder to .iso" topic at the top of page 1, something about how the results of testing won't be accurate unless the virtual machine's BIOS is properly modified and with a link to searchengine's thread (thanks again) "VMware Workstation (Multi-Brand) Bios Installer." While working with RT Seven Lite I'd gotten reasonably familiar with VirtualBox, but it wasn't until page 17 of this thread that I read mention (thanks again Tito) of VMware Player's BIOS being modable and was pointed in the correct direction for a solution (the thought that the virtual machine's BIOS was different from my laptop's never even crossed my mind, so 2 days of testing was for naught. And stop laughing ;) ). Of course, my first test with the modded BIOS was successful. My other suggestion would be to make the mirrored links on page 1 more noticable, as presently they're under "Thanks to:-" and really not very obvious. While reading the thread I noticed many, many posters commenting that the main links were down only to have someone answer (usually tcntad) that the mirrors were fine. Anyway, these are just a couple of ideas I had for improving the thread while I was utilizing it. Thanks again to everyone who contributed.

Now I've found the links to work and get all I need, but I haven't read through all 89 pages to find my answer, I can apply the slic 2.1 bios to my desktop PC then adjust my iso to suit the oem folders, but reading early on in some of the posts it said keys had now been inserted,so will this be a basically silent install on my desktop, or will I still need to find an oem key,my laptop worked a treat, slic 2.1 bios for that then I actually have an oem windows 7 pro disk for dell,so was a totlally silent install,no key insertion, no activation needed at all but Dell laptops use a royalty OEM key, all PC's run on the same oEM key/licence, the reason I ask was that the slic 2.1 bios crack was based on the dell files to now fit on an Asus motherboard, my laptop was the original Dell modded bios file, would the Dell iso work when patched with the oem folder, or would I need to seek another oem iso

Simple!! If ur bios has or modded with SLIC 2.1, then it will install the appropriate cert & key & also install the corresponding theme.... if a particular brand name is found in the ACPI table of the bios ~ same rule will be followed!!

If no brand name found then it will install Acer SLIC+cert+key and the default theme specified.

In ur case, ur bios was modded with dell slic 2.1. So after using this, u will get dell theme+cert+key... :)

Thanks for the very quick answer, would the Dell Win 7 Pro oem iso be suitable for this purpose then, or would I be better off using the second method and not flashing the Asus motherboard with a cracked Dell bios, actually I think there were two versions of my cracked bios ,think the other one was based on HP files, would the second method then search for the Asus files and leave me on that instead of making it look like a Dell, or would I need a plain oem iso to get that method to work

How can I add my own certificate that was backup up from Gigabyte_GA-EX58-UD5_F12_Gigabyte_SLP_SLIC_2.1_SSV3 as my bios now had slic2.1 but after set up from dvd, the windows 7 message say it need to re-activation within 3 days ? How to get rid of it, I want it activated straight away from dvd without windows loader. What did is I put GIGABYTE-GBT-2.1 Xr-ML Digital License (.XRM-MS) 2.66kb on the $oem$/$$/Setup/scripts/Certificates but not sure where can I get MultiBrand_OEM's to match my pc from ?

I would like to add my own certificate, multiBrand_OEM's into $oem$/$$/Setup/scripts/Certificates and $oem$/$$/Setup/scripts/MultiBrand_OEM's folder before burn dvd to get my windows 7 activated without windows loader.

On my folder I had four files from here: Gigabyte_GA-EX58-UD5_F12_Gigabyte_SLP_SLIC_2.1_SSV3 is: autoexec, EX58UD5.F12, FLASHSPI, GIGABYTE-GBT-2.1 which I already flash BIOS!

I ran the tools SLIC_ToolKit_V3.2 and the slic table is all matched to my bios slic 2.1 and i had dump ok and should i add the certificate to the $oem$/$$/Setup/scripts/Certificates folder ?
