When i install from this disk it say not a genuine disk blah blah .... how come? I go this disk from Technet account so its legit ... but once i put the OEM folder on it i get that message can someone elaborate more on this? I don't know if someone addressed this already but 95 pages is a lot to go through thanks for your help everyone.

Good Job on this BTW saves a lot of time reinstalling keys everytime

 

You need to supply more info did you copy $OEM$ folder into sources folder do you have slic 2.1 in your bios you need it if you downloaded from link 1

 

I downloaded link 2 and it says "installing Windows Loader this is in a Genuine dvd" blah blah return where you bought it ... so i have no idea why it would say not genuine when it is a MSDN copy.

Thanks for the understanding regarding the two different links. Also i was wondering is there a way that i could add a custom folder other then the default? like if i wanted my own user icon logon MCE logo and stuff like that? to preinstall? or do i just do it in the default and erase the others ... i have a company that wants their own background as the logon and background and usericons and logos for the company and they have COA's it just make it one less few steps i have to do if they are already installed help on this would be great... THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP!!!!

 

i think you need to use the Theme_Default.txt file,
this will apply whats in the default folder regardless of what brand is detected, whether a brand is detected or not detected?

so you change the default folder contents to your own custom icons ect.
then have the Theme_Default.txt file in the right place, the Default Folder
it tells you in the theme_default.txt anyway , this is what it says


OPTIONS:-
========

DO NOTHING ... Manufacturer Brand theme will be applied, if detected;
"DEFAULT" folder theme will apply if manufacturer not detected.

OR

1. Delete only the "DEFAULT" folder from the "MultiBrand_OEM's" folder
... Windows Default Theme would apply if manufacturer brand not found.

2. Delete the "MultiBrand_OEM's" folder
... Windows Default Theme would apply regardless of brand found.

3. Place the "Theme_Default.txt" in the "DEFAULT" folder, in the "MultiBrand_OEM's" folder
...This forces the "DEFAULT" folder contents to be applied as custom theme.

* Edit files in "DEFAULT" folder with your own image/s etc
* USER.bmp no larger than 128x128 pixel 24bit bmp
* BACKGROUNDDEFAULT.jpg no larger than 256kb

thank you for letting me join this fab place i have to say this place beats any other i have visited its so rich in info i have few questions which i am hoping will be verufied:
i have three laptops all oem Toshiba, Samsung and Dell netbook i want to make dvd which will work for all three.
Toshiba came preinstalled with windows 7 pro and slic 2.1
samesund preinstalled with windows 7 pro and slic 2.1
Dell preinstalled with windows starter and slic 2.1

steps i have alredy taken:
i have extracted certs from all three machines using slic toolkit.
downloaded a fresh copy of windows 7 link from this site and also confirmed hash check which is same.
installed ultaiso.
i download file from link 1 and in that $oem$ folder i have added my certs from my machines.
Now if i place $oem$ folder in Sources and and remove ei.cfg file from Source rebuild image and burn will that work on all three machines and are windows going to be activated during the install or do i still need to input key.
