    no errors will arise...just wont be activated.....its up to you.
    you can remove it or leave it.....oem folder will install background and such but wont be activated is all. When at desktop just run the windows loader by Daz and all will be good.
    That is up to you.....like said in txt file it is optional.

    :worthy: what a lovely nickname and what a lovely project .. man I love your work in our culture a true leader is the one who can tell a story to 5 years old child or man 100 years old and achieve his aims.. sir that is you and it is obvious in your work .. you are a true leader thank you so much for all you've done till now and thank so so much for what is coming next and i'll be thankful for you forever.. when I tell someone about the project and how much easy is it.. open your ISO with UltraIso add '$oem$' folder to the 'sources' folder of your Windows 7 or Windows Vista.iso.. add 'Autounattend.xml' to the root of your media.. he couldn't imagine that and repleacing 'Custom_Theme_[readme].txt' with 'Force_Theme_[readme].txt' was a good move that one kills me congratulations sir I salute you :cap:
    BTW I was going to ask about 'Autounattend.xml' why adding it is optional? I thought it was responsible for OEM brand's but just arrived to page 30 post 292 - you know everynight I read as much as I could form your thread - then I understood it's about services... so good job sir and I just put it there.. FYI I'm not a coder or programmer I always do a lot of help for friend's/familly computer I think you call it in your language a geek and I'm 42 years old but I learn by reading from someone like you so my question is it all that urie talked about in post 290.. you know in case someone asked.. another thing sir can you write a script or .reg whatever you call it with some instruction put it in separate link or inside your project as you like for those which there OS still working last thing would you please put "what is new" in 1st page I barely notice the date :bye1:

    Hi guys, I have a question I'm sure one of you can help me out with. I have a Toshiba Satellite L755-S5256 that had a hard drive fail so I installed a different hard drive and used the multi-brand multi-edition dvd to re-install Win 7 Home Premium(which it came with). Install seemed to go good but when it was done my Toshiba was transformed into a Panasonic. I have used this DVD on many other laptops including Toshibas and never had this happen before. What do you suggest I do to fix this or how do I fix this?

    TIA

    If you are using USB Just download the last update form 1st page and pick up 'Custom_Theme_[readme].txt' and put it in Toshiba brand folder and you'll be fine

    @helmet605...

    alhokagi's suggestion to use 'Force_Theme_[readme].txt' to 'force' apply Toshiba would workaround this situation... to troubleshoot the problem and find a proper fix cerberus8855's suggestion to return details from .bat file would be helpful to analyse your error.

    I trust you are using the 'Sept 2012' project files, and have not edited any files from the project?

    I would use the current version posted on first page. New version (Sept) has more of a filter on the checks then the old one you are using.

    One more question....are u using a "untouched" win 7 dvd iso (retail not oem from another manufacture)? It should have installed background and oem info for Toshiba not Panasonic.....

    searchengine would have a better idea on this then me but this does have me curious.

    It could be your hard drive - panasonic brand, is it?

    I ask because I've had this problem few years back with my older Toshiba, which was activated as Hitachi because of the hard drive brand? go figure :D

    I really do believe that if you use the current Sept version all will be good. Give it a try and post back results.....like I said I am curious. If it still does the same which I doubt it will then searchengine can investigate to what is causing the problem.

    Sorry but my question is why showing as panasonic when done installing? Where is it getting that info from? I think only searchengine can help in this situation but I do believe that the new updated Sept version will work (better filtering).

    @helmet605...

    Please download (link removed - test completed) and run '$oem • Test.exe' and save 'Results.txt', then post copy of that report.

    It should look similar to this...

    Edit: (image removed - test completed)

    Good, results confirm if you use the updated project files from the 1st page (Sep 2012 project update), your Toshiba machine will theme, and activate as Toshiba.

    Earlier project files searched the system 'more broadly' and was less efficient in filtering results of those searches, and may explain the 'Panasonic' glitch... although I do not recall any other members reporting any Panasonic|Toshiba conflict.

    I suggest you replace older $oem$ project files, with the Sep 2012 files.

    It just uses details from 'oemscan.ini' to check expected 'Theme|Activation', and uses 'rweverything.exe' to detect SLIC :biggrin:

    That would be cool to check a comp before trying install but to be honest your project has worked on every comp I have tried so far except for old version which had issues with my wifes compaq. This new version works perfect on the ones I have tested it on. Thanks again!
