Ok, since all addons needs about ~140sec. to be installed, I'll change the script to 150, then see what will happen.Thanks.

...unless the loaders calls for shut down, hmm?

    edit:

Thats what I thought; windows has to be shut down, otherwise it wont be activated by loader, unless you do that manually, which I did.

    btw.
I removed this line from script: SHUTDOWN /R /T 165

    dareckibmw...

where are you adding your 'script of addons'...
in fact, if you zip the script and upload, I'll take a look :throw:

    mnguyen...

when I get a chance, I'll mimic your bios details in vmware to see if I can reproduce the error... I think though it's more likely to be a permissions|access problem, so I might try elevating permissions in the tool to see if it remedies... I'll throw a few things at vmware 1st.

ah I see, its not instruction you adding to setupcomplete.cmd... win 7 toolkit install.

Jacqui says hi too, I havn't had skype for sooooooooo long v2 I think.

I would be more inclined to take loader off the setupcomplete.cmd, and keep it in %windir%... keep activation check on setupcomplete cmd.... and if active, instruction to delete windows loader from %windir%... and no reboot.

If activation check result is negative, have the .cmd write a .vbs file to pop-up a message at 1st desktop saying 'hey bud, u ain't active, do you wanna install loader... if yes have it run loader and reboot, if no, have it delete loader from %windir%.... done from runonce instruction on setupcomplete.cmd.

    mnguyen

UAC is just a part of it, the system still locks you out of certain places...
btw added your manufacturer strings to vmware bios, and the tool came back with v2.1 result... something must be restricting access on your system, I will make up a test tool that will try to bypass restrictions asap.

I have added the VMware folder to the OEM's folder and it brands the login screen and logout screen but not the Desktop. Any particular reason why like a script change that doesn't reflect the items in the OEM folder or something?

haha! I'll stick with what I got now, less silence than what you just posted :D

How about custom "logo-brand" for system activated by loader?

 ... it shoudn't matter if machine had no slic, it should still have wallpaper and logo of the make of Mboard ( if Dell, logo'd as Dell, Acer log'd as Acer etc).... themed as mboard, activated as bios.

It could be because things aren't fully setup at that stage so the plugin fails to register. The MBS plugin itself is used for extra WMI control, although as you can see the WinAPI methods work anyway. What's most odd though is that it's displayed the DVD warning message while it's technically in Windows :g: Slightly modified DVD maybe? I can see a different start menu and other applications.

    @Daz...
The DVD is modified, to install my favoured applications, and $oem$ folder is used to install my portable apps etc...

I just ran 'Windows Loader' from 'runonce' on my live machine, and did not get the MonkeyBread pop-up, but the 'DVD warning message' did appear to say the system was not genuine... the DVD warning message is a good thing to display on systems that do not have a legit slic, but not so cool to see that message if you have a legit slic, and just want to 'silently' apply correct serial and cert during unattended install... looks like the 'DVD warning message will apply during setupcomplete, or runonce... slic or no slic, licensed or not (I had not used slmgr to remove my activation...)

The message is displayed during launch time regardless of activation state to speed things up. I'll have to investigate the runonce method of installation though as when in Windows and using /silent no message of any kind should be displayed. That is unless I adjusted something as I'm pretty sure I blocked the loader from launching from some specific paths.

yep, I confirm launching 'Windows Loader' from the desktop using .cmd, or .vbs, or even packaged in an sfx installer results in totally 'silent' operation of 'Windows Loader'... no displays.

I can also confirm that executed from 'runonce' you always get the 'DVD warning message', regardless of whether launched directly from runonce, or via .cmd, or .vbs, or packaged in an .sfx installer... if initiated from runonce, DVD warning displays... (I only seen the 'MonkeyBread' pop-up on the one occassion).

    edit: solved

If I have an OEM version of Windows 7 Home Edition installed on a machine and I pop in the Multi OEM Disc and try to upgrade to Professional or Ultimate, will it prompt me for a key or just go through the upgrade and activate on its own?

If you have OEM:SLP Activated machine all you need to do is use windows 7 anytime upgrade and enter Professional or Ultimate OEM:SLP key no need to use a dvd.
