No, I repeat, is not needed. Obviously you can install W10 on a GPT drive. I think Win XP 64 (released in 2003 or so) was the first OS installable on a GPT drive. If you're already running a hardware id activated copy of Win 8.1 you'll be activated if you install the same version of Win 10/11 How was your 8.1 activated?
i activated win 8.1 pro using the old mtk i installed win10 pro it asked for key then i refused so its not activated i totally missed the newbie guide on kms vl thread i dunno how this happened i read it 10 times my apologies for you all and deep thanks again i activated my os
