BTW: It is interesting, that when: Code: Microsoft-Windows-win32calc-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~10.0.10240.16384.mum and Microsoft-Windows-win32calc-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~en-US~10.0.10240.16384.mum are extracted, there will be more files in en-US cab than when: Code: Microsoft-Windows-win32calc-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~10.0.10240.16384.mum only... is extracted with /INCLUDERES parameter. In the 2nd case this will be missing: Code: amd64_microsoft-windows-w..oyment-languagepack_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.10240.16384_en-us_8a4f7418d394540c.manifest resp. for x32: x86_microsoft-windows-w..oyment-languagepack_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.10240.16384_en-us_2e30d8951b36e2d6.manifest
Also in LTSB the "Windows Photo Viewer DLL" has correct (not-hacked so "MS-W10-original") registration in the Windows registry to open images. BTW: However in contrast with MS claims, I didn't find any special option in ImmersiveCP (PC Settings), how to permanently reject specific updates in LTSB. Still it is best W10 Edition, because all Metro s**t apps are killed (all but ImmersiveCP and Search). Nicely there is also some lighter version of Metro Search app, which doesn't switch to Cortana even in "Cortana-supported" regions.
/INCLUDERES is only used in special cases where the package itself contain lang resources win32calc is regular case where resources has a separate package already -- no feature-add updates/upgrades released yet to reject, which are the ment for LTSB
Just done some testing on this. I have a keyboard with the calculator symbol on it, so when I press it up pops the calculator. ( What will they think of next ) So I installed an untouched copy of Win 10 pro x64 - GB. Pressing the "calc" key the new metro calculator pops up. I removed ALL of the "Provisioned Packages" The Metro calculator is part of this. After a second fresh install, Pressing the "calc" key does nothing. So I added both of the 64 bit "Win32cal" packages to my wim file. I did a third install and when the "calc" key was pressed up popped the original calculator. No other reg entries had to be made or anything else like that. it just worked. Not going to win any Noble Peace prize for my work but somebody might find it interesting..
Downloading problem After trying to download from links in second post I get this: Are there any other mirrors?
Thanks, I switched to Google DNS and now links work. I will keep in mind suggested site too, should I need it in the future.
start - run - calc will automatically open win32calc.exe , if we do not have the another calc application.
