I 've install windows 7 on vmware 6.5. And my box is vista x64.
After installing, windows 7 has a boot problem as follows

    <
Operation on file "E:\virutal_machines\vmwares\win 7\win7.vmdk" failed.
If the file resides on a remote file system, please make sure your network connection and the server where this disk resides are functioning properly. If the file resides on removable media, reattach the media.
Choose Retry to attempt the operation again.
Choose Abort to terminate this session.
Choose Continue to forward the error to the guest operating system.

I would be appreciated for any opinion or documents links about this.

VMWare has to be run in Vista Compatiblity mode, networking will not work without MAC bridging which you need to edit the registry to do. Just go into Network connections bridge your physical NIC with the VMNet one, and it will pop up a link to the VMWare kbase that says which reg entries to edit.
