I have a HP Desk Jet 5550 installed on a Server 2003 box and shared. My Win XP machine is able to connect to it and print fine. My x64 Windows 7 machine is having problems. It sees the share without any problems, but when I try to map it, it prompts for drivers. I have tried to install using the additional drivers option in the printer properties on the win2k3 bax, but they won't install. Gives an unsupported archetecture message. When I connect the printer directly to my win7 box, it installs and works fine, but my winXP and win2k3 machines can't connect to it. My win7 additional drivers option give the same results. What is the trick to getting that printer shared?
