Old Sticky Notes (ClassicStickyNotes-1.1-setup.exe) for Win10 doesn't work when installing it on Win10 LTSB 2016. Did I miss something? Edit: Win10 already has dui70.dll in system32 and if I delete the dll distributed with the old sticky notes everything works fine. Why is the dui70.dll being included in the sticky installer when there is already one on the system? The version mismatch between the two is causing the ordinal error.
Is there any registry tweak or option in this program to enable always tick "Size all columns to fit" under the view pane in file explorer?
Should have named it "Ribbon Ripper". And I have already Winaero Tweaker 0.15.1 from June, 26th. Isn't that one the current version?
Would it be possible to add a tweak to revert the network icon which is now a white globe that is shown in multiple situations, and not the wifi or lan icon that existed in all windows versions prior to 1903?
True. But there are several "no network" states. The red and yellow icons indicate different things. Then you have the wifi and wired connection icons and so on. When I try to isolate network issues, it is meaningful to know which state the network is in.(We're talking 10G networking here) There is no way to tell with the globe. There are even situations where the yellow triangle will show yet everything is working. The globe masks all situations. For my testing, I had to wipe 1903 and reinstall 1809 to get the old behavior back so I could quote Netgear and Aquantia how long the network was in each state. I had to do this with Receive Segment Coalescing off and on, and with various other tests such as attempting to map drives and various link speed settings etc. Restoring to 1809 isn't always going to be convenient, particularly at customer sites. This is just more of Microsoft's short sighted "change for the sake of change" that causes more discomfort than anything else. Having to install 3rd party software to work around Microsoft's poor decisions is silly, but has become the way of the world. I use OldNewExplorer to get back the classic drive grouping. But I don't have the freedom to go installing stuff on customer computers.
