I used it before , but what I didn't like that it doesn't go directly to the desktop ! it goes to the metro screen and then automatically goes to the desktop ! can't it just skip the metro ?
Super001 Hmm, today i will look for the improvement. I can use KRANZ ideas but I will not do that. I am not a thief.
So aperently there is a start button in Windows 8 So many people complain about not having a start button in Windows 8 and you of all people want to remove it from Windows 8
Really good tool.. But there's a way to skip the automatic run of the service like a scheduled task? I understand of the process that requires a service to work, but it can be more simply using the scheduled task way?
But it uses exactly same trick (copied from hb666 probably) ...And it also adds obsolete Start Button
i actually preffer the start button. but i dont know if its using his trick or not. but i can tel you its been in beta since 8 has. now its final . i dont see a company like stardock stealing someones work .you can also set it to not open the traditional old style menu. but function for the new metro instead.also i dont think op is the creator of that program. if he is my apologies. but it goes to winaero site.
This is way much slower than skipping metro via service. Also, You need no extra tool to skip metro with task scheduler. All you need is just to create a task with Desktop.sfc command that triggered at user logon. I don't think that they copy something from me. It is "common knowledge". Many other tools works via service. It is not big deal to create it.
