My system is WIndows 8 pro with media center 64 bit. n using this software last one month. suddenly, the green dot has become a white square hiding the entire icon and I am stuck with plain white squares in the place of desktop shortcut icons. I tried running the application, nothing happens after the dialog box asking permission to proceed. I tried system restore. still the problem persists. Please suggest remedy. I use it because the only time I ever even touch the UI is to make slight size adjustments to icons (Everything else I do through right click context menu).. the functionality of such was removed from the GUI with the ribbon. You only get a handful of fixed sizes to choose from via the Ribbon UI, finer adjustments are only available via KB+Mouse shortcut. Doing so through the GUI is more precise for me. Removing the ribbon brings that functionality back to the GUI. Since I never otherwise touch the explorer UI it works nicely for me.
I have no real reason to try it, so could a user explain exactly what this is for? I have not enabled the automatic log on, in Windows 8, as there are three users. At logon, it shows those three users and, whoever, select's accordingly. What does this program do extra to that?
Check it out on your own! Don't be lazy! And if you've no reason, you also didn't need to know! We're here to help but to do the work for others!
Er.......! Unfortunately there a lot humans out there not seeking help, because they know everything (they mean!), looking information which they jusy easy could get with a very little effort in a minute! But WHY they should? Because there to many others out there who'll do their work! I like to help, if I can and do that regardsless WHO is asking for help, even if that's a member who's is attacking me on the forum and ask via PM for help, I just do that and have done it on this forum! Also I use to answer polite and gracious despide of insulting and/or attacking comments! This is just an answer to the comment you pointed to me!
So just to make this clear: This automatic login behaviour is only possible if the last user that shut down the computer doesn't have a password on his account. Windows 8 does this by default. If you have passwords on all accounts you won't need this tool.
