my main LTSB is doing exactly what it is supposed to do at 10240. Not a hiccup. Some 's need to know what LTSB is about before bothering to find a new build.

Just a follow-up.

LTSB may receive a Red Stone release at a later time. Although it is unlikely, it is possible if only because of the new kernel and stability surrounding it and the core of Windows. If such an update is decided up it would happen after as an optional update or as a stand alone for later adaptors.

This would likely happen not during the 1st Red Stone release, but rather the 2nd phase of Red Stone stable (since Microsoft is dividing Red Stone into 2 major updates). So the earliest would be the end of 2016 or the start of 2017 (a whole year from now). Though I'd suspect 2017 and not at the very beginning either.

LTSB is meant to be the most stable so it receives such updates only after everyone else has tested and proven it works. And only if it is deemed necessary.

10 Years means that use can defer feature upgrade for that long

it takes time for ms to make OS stable

More people are saying that but does it not deppends on individual needs What do I have to do with LTSB if I realy like metro apps for example or new feautures

Take the PRO, ypgrade to LTSB and the market will be retained. Then install whatever you want.

(anyway I have yet to see a single worth metro app, just the dvd player has a meaning, but it's just a side effect not a value of the app as is)

Make your latest LTSB by removing all Windows Apps, and some from System Apps.

Update path:

Windows Apps => Windows Store

System Apps => Windows Update
