    I don't think so. Surely someone would've posted a solution if there was one. Other than using a file explorer replacement that fits the bill, I don't have a solution.

    And only for some people. I'm on 18363.720 and still have the old style search box.

    Yes, I too have encountered the same issue after updating Windows 1909 version, the file explorer search not working. The SFC and DISM scans are very simple and they didn't help at all.
    Rebuilding the search index and running the search and index troubleshooter did work in resolving my issue of file explorer.
    You can try these two fixes and see if it fixes the file explorer search not working issue.

    Where are the mach2 values stored?
