Backgound: My HP laptop has had Windows 10 Ent. LTSB 2016 installed for quite a while. Over the weekend, I set up a second system partition and installed Windows 8.1 Pro VL. Everything went well, but there is one thing bugging me. Windows 8.1 appears at the top of the boot screen as the default OS. If I don't make a selection within 30 seconds, then 8.1 boots automatically.

Question #1: Is there any way to change this so Windows 10 appears on top of the boot menu as the default OS? Or am I stuck with this?

Question #2: If I delete all of the existing partitions except the Windows 8.1 C:\ system partition, and then install Windows 10 Ent. LTSC 2019, will Windows 10 then appear at the top of the boot screen and replace 8.1 as the default OS?

Hello @Zot - Hey! Thanks a lot, that is definitely the easiest way to do it! First time I've ever had two different Windows installs on the same HDD and was not aware you could do that.

Hi @John Sutherland, could you provide a step-by-step procedure via PM to dual boot Win 8.1/Win10 LTSC/LTSB, if it's not too much to ask. I intend to install and dual boot two OS in my laptop soon. Just curious how you did it. Many Thanks :)
