No, I think it's only going to make you upset..anybody else running 7 or 8 already knows that and if you want a source google it, I'm sure you will find 10000 hits.
Sorry but here we go again now you change the story bios mod not official bios update as far as I was concerned I thought we were talking about retail license.
Just in case it would be nice to have a tool that would extract, copy and emulate the mother board HWID.
Yes but in fact it dont tell you from which media was system installed, but license type. Full Packaged Product seems like Retail.
buddy of mine (Tech Foreign ) works on Manufacture site, told me MS says if the same Mobo then Activation is mostly automatic since they have the same ID, another said his HDD crashed and when DELL gave him a Same/Replacement his clean install was Activated also. I have NO PROOF but I see no reason why they would LIE about it. so seems mobo same make model and HDD same make/model are not considered NEW DEVICE so take as a grain of salt,
@ Snuffy as you said, you will know yourself every motherboard even if identical model has different UUID or MAC.
who the fk cares just install 7 Daz's loader Then Upgrade. and stfu about it NOTHING HAS CHANGED PIRATES STILL GONNA PIRATE AND PEOPLE THAT PAY FOR IT ARE STILL GONNA GET THE SHORT END OF THE STICK
So far, every successful installation of W10 I've done (upgrade, clean install, Pro, Ent, etc) and dozens I've come across from others across the US have all sported the 3V66T key which means is is the combination of that plus hardware hash and/or bios info that creates a unique identifier. Maybe something else as well (IP addy, MAC addy or something). The key wouldn't work on a clean install, either, saying too many devices. Odd as well, using VMware with a standard motherboard for several installations (wouldn't that yield the same hash??). In the end, upgrades all went well from 7, 8, and 8.1 modded or not, legit or not. Those with DAZ's loader went fine, as well as other KMS solutions, however the loader isn't yet ready for W10 even if the core would work as it won't recognize the OS as compatible (well I'm sure the various slics and oem keys etc aren't yet available). What will work on clean install is Cody's MS Toolkit 2.5.3 available here on this forum. It took me a couple of tries for it to take, but it did the job and inserted a volume license key. Updates work and all seems to be well after a few days! :^)
Yes, I know just like HDDs but a MS person told as long as the exact same model and provided by the Manufacture it would WORK. I only know what I was told by two differnet Manufacture Sites Techs. one from Acer and one from Dell.
So i installed Win 7 + activated with DAZ loader on a 50GB OCZ SSD. i updated to win10 and it was activated. I cloned this SSD on a 240GB Crucial M550 SSD. Win 10 is still activated
