Once windows 10 is activated by loader, you guys think Microsoft can deactiviate our copy from future security update? I think it could be too risky for microsoft. As their software update could falsely detect legitimate copy
Technically, it isn't activated by Loader, Windows 7 was*. That Windows 7 had been detected as being a genuine OEM installation and the HWID assigned. With Windows 10, they can't detect any Loader since there isn't one, anymore. There is no difference to a true genuine OEM machine that has been upgraded to 10, at least technically. *Even at Win7, they didn't make any serious technical attempt to detect and kill the Daz Loader because of the large risk of collateral damage (killing genuine machines' activation, too). That's most probably the reason why they ended the SLIC way of activation with the advent of Windows 8. And, that's exactly the reason there isn't any Loader possible for 8.x and 10.
I have installed win pro 8.1 VL and activate using MTK, upgrade to win 10 pro VL 1511. However, windows did not activate via HWID. How to upgrade and be activated via HWID? What version of win8pro and win10pro installer should I use?
Did you use in place upgrade(running setup.exe from 1511 iso within win 8.1)?If not then try that first & also don't use any VL iso but usual win 8.1 pro & win 10 pro.
Yes, i update to win10pro within win8.1pro. Run the usb win10 installer in win8.1 as an update/upgrade. Ok, i'll try again to upgrade to a win10pro retail1511. Thanks.
If win10 version 10240/10586 is needed to acquire hwid when upgrading from win8.1, what version of 8.1 installer needed to start he process? Can I use the currently available 8.1 ISO downloadable from their website? And what type of win8.1 should I use, RTM, VL or Retail?
Try upgrading from win 8.1 pro/retail(aka non VL).Also I don't think using such old win 10 version is required, you can use RS3 as it should work too.
To get a free HWID using a KMS activated win 8.1 Pro install you don't need a retail install, the kms solution will insert the gVLK anyway. Just upgrade to 10240/10586 Pro and it will be VL MAK activated by MSFT, next you can insert the generic pro key (-3V66T) to switch to HWID or just do a clean install or upgrade to a more current 10 Pro build and it will be HWID activated.
One of my friend upgraded(in place upgrade) a MAK activated win 8.1(retail pro iso) to RS3 successfully, what's the difference between this & kms activated win 8.1(aren't they both technically VL licenses).
HWID Activation Method 1: Activate windows 7 "DAZ or KMS" or Windows 8.1 "KMS". Upgrade using windows 10 1511" & activate. Upgrade to latest Windows 10 1709 or 1803 now system is activated HWID Method 2: Install windows 10 Build 16278 upgrade to PFW using ....-XD863 key. Upgrade to latest Windows 10 1709 or 1803 using ...-2YV77 key now system is activated HWID as Windows 10 Pro for Workstation you can follow this process for a shortcut https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...te-upgrade-process.64770/page-84#post-1425265 in either method once you freshly install windows it will be activated automatically
Install Windows 7 first (activate with Microsoft Toolkit), then upgrade to Windows 10, then make a fresh installation of Windows 10 and it will activate with a digital license... It works for Windows Home.
KMS activated win 7 won't provide a HWID. DAZ' Windows Loader activated windows 7 SP1 will and it works for Home and Pro.
You are right "won't provide a HWID" but you still get a free upgrade to Windows 10 from an activated Windows 7. Then you just make a fresh installation of Windows 10 to get it clean. I do it all the time with tons of computers. The result is a free Windows 10 digital license. I use the Fall Creators - 1709 version
A KMS activated win 7 won't upgrade to an activated win 10. The windows 10 install won't have a HWID, that's the whole purpose of upgrading to get a HWID for 10.
