Have you downloaded img, after just click on it, it may say mount or setup, click on that mainly setup, when screen comes up on what to save, save it all, that's a upgrade. Very Important, At first you must UPGRADE this goes for everyone, OEM, Retail or Windows Insiders, if you don't check disk for errors Win 10 will not install if you have a small error that could have been fixed by doing the below, run the sfc too, you have no idea what kinda problems you are in for, not running these fix error programs just lessens your chance of completing this. Bring up Cmd prompt, type chkdsk /r /f , and press enter on your keyboard, then a Y, then reboot, it now checks your disk for errors and fixes them, if you have errors Win 10, will not install, then run sfc /scannow in CMD Prompt to repair the partition with Win 7,8, 8.1, Remember Win 7 must be updated to include sp1 and 8 upgraded to 8.1. Probably the most important thing is to disable all startup programs, go to taskbar, right chick, select Task Manager, Startup Tab, right click each item in here, and select disable, after you have upgraded and clean installed afterwards, you may need to come by to this place and enable these programs if they are not already. Good luck. When your done, reboot, when back in, open CMD Prompt type winver, press enter on keyboard. From taskbar right click, select Task Manager, Startup Tab, right click each item in here, and select enable
Ekk pricey....I bought 2 way back when from MS for very very cheap, as well as got 2 free now dead WMC keys...through well some know how we all did it.
Dell has apps now available for Win 10 in the store...so very doubful...and hell I do not even have a dell but an easy search shows some of the apps. However if you are referring to these "nice apps" that are being install just cause Dell and MS want to cause you have a certain .ini file hell yeah that is Virus of a sort. I get the automatic updates for most users...but not autmatic apps.
I upgraded from this img 2 different images on 2 separate computers, 1 10240 Insider image, before I opted out of program, and a 8.1 Pro image.
Using this image also and enjoying it. Thought about opting out also but think i'd like to test Windows 10 Server versions.
I've clean-nstalled 10240 (from setup.esd converted to .iso) on one of my machines and it's acting like you've mentioned. You have the opt-in option in settings
