@ labvxe In Windows the used license channel is determined by the installed key. Volume Key means Volume license, Retail key Retail license. ...OEM key OEM license.
There is no 3.0 because Windows 8 doesn't use SLIC's. Starting from Windows 8 Microsoft uses an MSDM table that contains a unique key, so it can't be shared and you won't be able to activate Windows 10 via the OEM channel yourself no matter what you do.
Baidu isn't that bad if you use a download manager that downloads a bunch of chunks at the same time.
Well you know baidu it sucks ...speeds are now all over the place up and down... /edit Uploading to Gdrive right now
I'm downloading from openload and baidu at the same time Just in case I tried using IDM and it was terrible.
What would be ideal is if I had a blank hard drive and installed Windows 10 Pro, if the machine had a genuine OEM Slic 2.1 in the bios would an install of 10 Pro then activate? A machine that hasn't been part of any insider programs or such and hadn't accepted any online free promo upgrades to 10. This would be my ideal thing.
Installing on virtualbox right now. It doesn't like .img so double click to mount and choose the drive letter
img files are iso files...there is a way to just change the file extension...have to untick hide extensions for known file types..then just rename from .im to .iso I believe...writing my iso from rufus right now. With that said...wondering now...since no conversion is needed...what does this make this...from changing .img to .iso still a homebrew? haha In fact you can just mount the img file with the windows mount tool and start the install. /edit I really need to upgrade this usb stick I am using haha...don't want to mess my other one up with the known working 10240
i always thought img was for raw data and had different structure etc but you are right, you can just rename, maybe I was thinking about img/cue from clonecd etc
