Got a Xiaomi laptop that doesn't have usb 2 ports on usb 3 and 3.1 (usb C) so couldn't install win 7 to upgrade to win 10. So installed win 8.1 activated by kms, upgraded to win 10 via assistive technologies but it's not activated, says unable to reach activation servers. What's the best thing to do?
Hello guys This is my situation. My motherboard usb ports died, and i had to change motherboard same brand, i was on windows10 updated from win7 pro oem. Before switching motherboard i linked my Microsoft account to the Windows 10 digital license. Now windows says not activated, i can activate it following the "use the Activation troubleshooter to help reactivate Windows after a significant hardware change" Code: support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/20530/windows-10-reactivating-after-hardware-change[code] My question is here. After i reactivate if i remove the Microsoft account and create a new local account will windows remain activated? Anyone has tried this? Thank you
Can you please clear things up for me.. For some reason i didnt find straight answer to my question. I am buying new PC in a week and wanna install a Win10. Do i understand right the proccess: 1. I install win7 ultimate, activate it with OEM key using SLIC 2.1 modded bios (got it already) 2. I do upgrade it to Win10 Pro - it will be auto activated, right? 3. I wanna do clean install after all... which steps are to preserve activation? Thanks!
My laptop is being replaced by hp for some defect. New laptop is altogether different. How can I move my Windows 10 anniversary (windows 8.1 to windows 10) activation to new device? MS-support is not of much use they say digital license tied to old laptop and non-transferable.
Did you link the HWID/Digital License you had established to your MS Account? Or what windows does the replacement laptop have installed? You should still be able to establish a new Digital License by either upgrading to 10 or go the genuineticket.xml route.
Recently , I only saved digital license with Microsoft account. Replacement laptop is coming with DOS 2.0. If no solution then I will surely go thru genuineticket.xml route.
I upgraded a laptop from Windows 8 Pro to Windows 10 Pro using the genuine ticket technique. Activated with no problems. If I do a fresh install in 6 months or later, using a newer ISO, do I need to copy genuine ticket xml file to new install just like original install or will it activate when I go online.
