My onboard LAN device has died (testsystem) and I replaced it with a LAN PCI card and my HWID didn't activate my windows 10 Home 10586 anymore. Now I can test if after upgrading from 8.1 Pro (KMSpico activated) to 10.10586 Pro a clean install will also be HWID activated. EDIT: if Pro works I will do it also for Home.
With the 1511, no, I can't get it to work at all. But it was a new motherboard that has never seen a win 7 to upgrade or gatheros to win 10, I think if you ever had a act win 10 on your mobo, that is the reason it worked. But with all the problems with 1511, I don't know if the errors are from 1511, or because the board never saw a act before. Appreciate the posts, will touch base here later tonight.
Back it up also. Run " slmgr -dlv " make sure you see 366 product key and under Act type you don't see KMS. Now in theory, the MS server has your HWID and you should be able to clean install anytime. Now MS had the 1511 on the download server and I can't get it to work the same way you did, so not sure if it's a bug because 10586 has problems or they added a check. So for now make sure you keep a copy of 10240 around to clean install in case the updated 10586 won't allow you to activate.
I know Daz works, and 8.1 KMS worked on the 10240, but I tried everything with 10586 and it won't, I saved ticket so I was thinking about trying 240 again on a board that has never been act on. I wish someone would do a Daz in MBR, and use ticket on a 10 UEFI. I'm clean installed out at the moment, but don't do it because i hope someone with a clean board can. I'm thinking if the board was activated once and then someone does the 8.1 KMS, it's picking up the old act.
I follow all steps and activate my windows 10 ... but everyone who is doing this are receving the same windows key like a key for inside preview
It seems Microsoft Blocked the serial number that "Microsoft Toolkit" uses to activate windows 8.1, I've upgraded Windows 8.1 that activated with Microsoft toolkit to windows 10.10586, I couldn't activate it because it prompts my product key is blocked
Had same thing. First time around Windows 8.1 with KMS key with Windows Toolkit, most updates installed, reserved free upgrade but did not want to wait so downloaded Win10 Pro iso. Ran the upgrade in the Windows 10 installation keeping all files and profile info. Win 10 then activated online successfully on first attempt. Checked product keys and one says it's a Win 10 MAK key with no more activations on it and the other says its retail channel. Ran slmgr.vbs /xpr and says Windows is permanently activated. Tried this same system setup on a different machine and tells me key is blocked. But then 8.1 KMS does not qualify for free upgrade so in theory it should never have been able to successfully activate. But somehow it did so I'm not complaining
As far as I know all upgrades will show the same generic Windows 10 key. Your system is basically reactivating with your already activated win7/8.1 key. If activation fails Microsoft allows you to change your Win10 product key to your 7 or 8.1 key. Telephone activation also has this option if you're having trouble.
No. Activating by phone or online with previous Windows 7 or 8 key has to have already been activated legitimately with Microsoft. For example. You buy a retail copy of Windows 7/8.1, you activate it on Microsoft servers without the use of any loaders etc. and you have the relevant updates installed. You qualify for the free Windows 10 upgrade but for some reason after the upgrade has completed Windows 10 fails to activate. Because you are really just reactivating with your existing Windows 7/8 key Microsoft offers the option to change the Windows product key from the generic upgrade key and enter your legit 7/8 key and reactivate.
Hi, There are concerns that MS could block the upgraded W10 installations upgraded from pirated copies from W7/W8 to W10. Some says that MS cannot understand whether it was legal or pirated copy before upgrading or later. You do not need to be a specialist but if you have average knowledge you can easily understand that whether a MS copy is activated by Dazz loader or something else. Take the widely used Dazz loader, it puts a special 5 letter file in the proper place and it takes control just after booting. It is very easy too see this file and sure MS guys also know and see this. But for whatever reason they allow their OS to work smoothly in this situation and get regular updates. So I believe that it is not a matter of their ability whether they couldn't understand the pirated or fooled copy of OS. I believe it is up to them whether they allow this kind of attempts or not. There could be some more deep thought behind allowing to use pirated copies. Related with present topic, time will show whether they block W10 a year later or so. I think they will not block them. They and uncle SAM does not want to loose market share and control over the world.
Win 8.1 update activation with permanent activation from facebook and upgrade to Win 10 or clear install win 10 with GenuineTicket.xml and win 10 activated forever.
@Odiebugs: I forgot to tell, the HWID on 10 Home (upgraded from 8.1 Core KMSpico activated to 10586 home) is established. ps. For some (to me) unknown reason a testinstall in vmware also got a digital entitlement, never upgraded or did any activation stuff in vmware but 10 pro testinstall is activated
