The Windows 10 Partial Product Key shown by Windows 10 in Settings / Update & security / Activation is partially blocked out with X's except for the last 5 characters but these 5 characters do not match those revealed by most reliable Key Finders! e.g Magical Jelly Bean, AIDA64, Belarc etc. Does anyone know why they do not match up? And is there a Key Finder that shows the one reported by Windows 10? Which is the correct Key?
is there a way to backup my permanent activation which i used windows loader upgrading from windows 7 to get it ? i prefer doing a manual backup so i can restore it later if anything were to happen to the system and needed to reformat it
If You upgraded to Windows 10 for free from an eligible device "Digital entitlement" there is no need to backup your activation, And there is no way to backup online "Digital entitlement" activation "Correct me if i'm wrong", just do reformat connect to internet then activate.
If you go back to Windows 7 or 8.1 after upgrading to 10 within the 30 day limit, will your Windows 10 Digital entitlement still be valid for a clean install on that pc after next July when Windows 10 is no longer free.
Hello guys, I installed windows 10 by ISO from here, nevertheless i installed the HOME versions, so i cannot activate with Microsoft Toolkit. I tried to change the key to pro with KMS but edition stay at home. Anyone can help me please ? How can i upgrade my licence to pro in order to activate with Microsoft Toolkit, or, is there another way to activate windows 10 home ? Thanks a lot Nixeus
Why not get a HWID on that system by installing 7 pro/ulti with daz activation and upgrade to 10 pro, it's genuine after the process ps, You also can get 10 home activated by MTK but afaik you need a gVLK to be inserted before using MTK's EZ-Activator.
Hello, Mm could you explain me please the procedure ? I need to setup a new custom key with MTK ? What key can i use ? I tried to add a Professional GVLK key and it tell me my SKU is not valid :s
There is nothing to do manually, just push the eazy activator button, MTK will do everything you need
Yep, i've just tested it on a 10 Home N and it was activated by simply hitting the EZ-Activator, so no need to do something manually (i always use KMSpico).
I always thought MTK was really better than KmsPico. I always found scam link/fake link for KmsPico :s
I activated the same some time ago but after a week a notification came "Activate Windows " and this message with a 0xD0000272 error comes on activate menu. See this
Via xml ticket from 8.1 pro kms activated. It was good for a 3 days but activate windows comes up. The machine was with 8.1 OEM and I have activated 10 Home before. I wiped everything and installed 8.1 pro, kms activation , generated xml from 10 ISO... and followed xinso post.
As far as Yen's thread goes, 8.1 kms is not usable for genuineticket.xml option (real upgrade works, tested it myself).
yes, you are right. The issue is here why the systems got activated for 4 days, even updated to insider redstone branch, but then this error pops up? the info regarding to this error points to MS servers being not reachable. I'm looking for a way to use win7 OEM keys for clean install, all avail info says they could be used in a clean install for the latest releases... Update: booted from my win 10 USB install key and wiped ( format option from within the setup dialog) the "deactivated" win10 partition and proceeded with once again installation. weird#1. install asked me if i want to upgrade or install, I chose install and formatted win partition. The XML ticket was on the root of the USB install ( idk if it's relevant or not). skipped the connect to wifi option. installation never asked a product key. weird #2 No OOBE and win10 pro greeted me with my credentials from the "not so activated after a few days" install that I just WIPED minutes ago. went online and pressed ACTIVATE from settings>update&recovery. GOT ACTIVATED without problems for NOW. it's updating some drivers but I will check later what the status is with slmgr. I will stay out of insider builds to see how long will it stay activated...I have a strange feeling that the last release ( the only I have installed) triggered some events: always when shutting down from START it was asking if I don't want to save my work, and sometimes something about losing someone's else work that was also logged in. eventually, the ACTIVATE Windows message started to come. maybe insider builds have more telemetry or they are bringing/testing more ways to flag non genuine products. Also, I would like to know if there is an active forum about using OEM keys for a fresh install? I've tried using a legit DESKTOP Dell OEM on my test Dell Venue Pro 7140 win 8.1 ( that I previously updated to genuine Win 10 Home, then wiped the partition and installed WIN 8.1 PRO kms) and didn't install with a message that the key doesn't belong to this edition of windows. I think somehow there are OMW keys and SUPER OEM keys.
