s1ave77, idk why but i get a clear (black cmd) when i open your bat! this happens on a clean install to, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't rancorx -> install_wim_tweak.exe /o /c Microsoft-OneCore-Connectivity-Bluetooth-WOW64-Package /r install_wim_tweak.exe /o /c Microsoft-OneCore-Connectivity-Bluetooth-WOW64-onecore /r one of these 2 b*tches broke the nvdia control panel (crashes) and teamspeak, probably more stuff!
Usually only happens when the in-build elevation fails. On what system you're testing! Does it work if you start via right-click as admin?
already tried with nsudo like 2 or 3 weeks ago! unfortunly can get it to execute. testing on en_windows_10_enterprise_2016_ltsb_n_x64 10.0.14393.0
Not sure what you actually did . In case JATDevice troubles starting, delete line 6 and start via rightclick as Admin. Press [X] then [1] to open SECURITY TOOL. Now Press and [E] for the system packages export menu. Ctreate a folder at root of any drive i.e. x:\packs and point the export to that folder and to a TXT list of the packs you want have extracted (Custom List Option in Export menu).
s1ave77 going to work now with this, "Win10_1607_N_Portuguese_x64" redstone 1 pro version give you some feedback later!
Note: So far it only supports exporting packages online. I contacted KNARZ for the best solution to export them from a mounted WIM.
@sobre27 Comment out/delete the 6th line Code: (NET FILE||(powershell start-process -WorkingDirectory '%jatdpath%' -FilePath '%0' -verb runas)&&(exit /B)) >NUL 2>&1
Better delete, is more reliable in case of troubles. So far i couldn't reproduce it failing on my/friends machines and all my VMs from Win 7 to 15048 .
It was update orchestrator service (UsoSvc). I'd advise you to remove it from disabled services list.
my bad, won't be in the next one, i must of added an older batch as someone mentioned that broke wu before. for those having issues with sxsv1, execute it via the SxSExport.cmd in the _helper folder, it only worked for me once via the start.cmd but in vmware i couldn't get it working on my actual os install, with uac on or off, it always says run as admin... @sobre27 i still haven't removed bluetooth on my install, i exported those packages and they are real small, best to just leave them. have you check eventlogs to see if it shows what files are being called by the crashing apps? you could also try dependency walker. driver/service removals are still in progress. note: driver/service removal assumes you don't use/have; raid (nvidia or intel or other) nforce chipset amd chipset a network of pc's use remote desktop or terminal serivces nvidia chipset or amd chipset users will need to remove lines for files starting with nv & amd if using intel raid you will need to remove lines for files starting with iastor for misc items, you must check devices in device manager and look at properties to see what inf's you will need to keep the following are removed; raid support amd chipset support terminal services drivers (all except tsddd which is needed for windows to boot) remote deskop drivers ndis drivers not critical to internet connection a load of scsi miniport drivers non critical windows services non critical windows 10 services leftover hyper-v / virtual machine drivers (mounting iso support remains) printer drivers (main core drivers remain, same goes for scanners) other scsi drivers (drivers required for vmware remain, not sure what others use like vbox) network drivers for various adapters wifi drivers for various adapters some services get re-created by windows, thought will be mostly blank / broken
@RanCorX2 Thanks for your tool... I had previously debloated quite a bit and your lists gave me about 30% more to remove ( totalling 643 ) Windows is working better as one would expect... Just wondered why the driver packages are on your lists ?
there's lots of drivers you don't need, that's why they are on my lists. i've updated the upload, now includes extra driver/services removal. these are nearlly all the drivers and services i've removed and still have a working windows a good number were just leftovers from components removed. next cleanup will deal with stuff still installed / leftovers related to removed features c:\windows\infusedapps 844mb contains all the modern apps, yet another location where app files are stored c:\windows\speech & speech_onecore 20.6mb same two speech folders exist in both system folder too. fors apps we got the folder in program files, systemapps in windows folder as well as folders in programdata & appdata only one you need is immersivecontrolpanel, there's also the printdialog folder in the windows folder that contains the app used by edge for printing, doesn't apply to ie.
s1ave77 finally your bat is working! not having much time these days, the only thing i tried was to integrate fernando's usb3, and chipset intel drivers on a iso but i can't workround the CA certificate... about your driver development, rancorx, i will try it tonight on a vm! going to try to give you some feedback later!
In case of problems with my tool post in JATD thread, so we don't clutter RanCorX2s thread. There are parts of the scripts that are very old, might need to look at them in case i know where .
one thing i never checked was if wifi still works, on my actual install systemsettingsbroker crashes with faulting module mscvrt.dll when i try connecting via wifi. (that's just with the component removals) will need to investigate.... Microsoft-Windows-OneCoreUAP-Tunnel if you remove that package, it'll break your ability to connect to a wifi connection, might still be able to connect by 3rd party tools or via cmd prompt but it's a tiny package so might as well keep it installed. also I'm starting to think it's better to disable windows updates / remove the feature because hotfixes these days contain so many files and my guess is when you install one on a slimmed down os it'll try updating stuff that doesn't exist and stuff will get corrupted. just a thought as I tried installing one of those 1gb updates and it failed and said it wasn't installed, next bootup, black screen, do tried safemode boot > bsod critical process died, had to reinstall. might be easier to just do in place upgrades when a new rtm comes along and then do component removal again. and skip hotfixes.. refresh / reset pc is garbage imo, sometimes it works and sometimes it just throw up "an error occurred" undoing changes. quicker to just reinstall from usb/dvd
i simply don't update my os, when redstone 2 final release comes, i will download the iso and do a clean install (maybe) rancor, removing the update feature via dism probably break the OS did you tried it? still didn't had time to check your new version with the driver cleanup. btw i don't have wi.fi maybe i will delete the package idk. offtopic: what are you using to create a custom iso with packages striped down, pure dism or toolkit?
I just do an upgrade install over the top (as long as windows is in good condition) it works. I haven't tried removing windows update yet, but will today. I don't remove packages via dism alone, only by install wim tweak (which uses dism), dism alone seems to remove everything but install wim tweak does individual packages, I think that's why cbsenum sucks as I tried that recently to remove all the stuff I remove with install wim tweak, it does it all via dism, it removed extra stuff I didn't specify to be removed and broke loads of things, even removed ie when I don't remove that. thus far I haven't been able to create a custom iso... ntlite wouldn't let me remove the stuff I want to remove and ended up with a non working iso winreducer created a non working iso as well, also wouldn't let me remove the stuff I wanted too either msgtoolkit only lets you remove some bits but not the stuff I want to remove going to look up original iwt instructions and make a wim that way
iwt? toolkit does the job but unfortunly like you said, you only get a piece of the pie wintoolkit seems to detect and delete some packx of wim but i never tried it,(do you have some feedback on this tool?) and ntlite, winreducer are paid
