What are the steps to upgrading an already activated copy of Windows 7 to Windows 10? I don't want to download the updater tool through Windows update. When I tried that route in the past, I was waiting and nothing ever downloaded. What is the best way to force an upgrade that will be genuinely activated permanently? I tried once using the Media Creation Tool and the resulting Windows 10 install wasn't activated. Not only that, but it also asked for a product key during the Windows 10 install.
Hmm ... maybe check the Stickies. You can also take a number for a personal Tech to help you; your Number: #288836966477858987508787362090195. Take a seat.
Wow, you are so clever and witty. Obviously I don't want to search through 2000 garbage posts when my question can be answered here. If you are going to troll, do it somewhere else.
As you can see there's a lot of motivation, to do your homework . Do you actually believe you're the first with that question. You should start reading instead of trying to be snippy (what you are not).
Then rather than be a complete douchebag and troll on here, why don't you write a helpful guide rather than acting like a 12 year old that trolls people?
Why should i, they already exist. Check the FIRST POSTS of the STICKY THREADs!!! And for the cute name you gave ... it's Mr Guide Dog for you or SIR.
So do you find it entertaining continuing to troll, not link to the post, etc.? Because that attitude is elitist. Either stop replying to my posts or answer with helpful answers. It's very simple; something which you obivously haven't learned yet. The sticky thread doesn't contain the answer to my question, but based on your poor English skills I would imagine you can't even understand what I'm asking.
Before all the threads, you will see an area with a grey background and "Sticky:" next to the thread title.
Got some unpleasant experience. Upgraded Daz loaded Win7 ultimate x64 to win10pro (iso from ms downloader) but it is not activated with error code 0xc004c003 saying key 3V66T has been blocked. Shut down pc for a few hour and restart again. Error code is 0x8004fe93 with 'activate' button and message to retry manually again later. Leave pc running for a while and error reverts back to the first one without 'activate' button.
MS Servers commitedly suffer temporary seizures and spit out that error then. If it doesn't work after some time, something might went wrong with verification during the upgrade. In latter case you'll need to do again. Make sure Win 7 is properly activated and machine is online during the process.
I have two ACER laptops without SLIC in the BIOS (bought without OS, SLIC table not found). What's the best way forward? Should I request BIOS with SLIC (Acer Aspire E1-530 and E1-571) or should I install Windows 7 in legacy mode, activate with Daz loader and upgrade to Windows 10? If I go with the latter, can I then delete the partitions and install Windows 10 in UEFI mode?
Latter works fine, as 10 will be tied to hardware id. Yes you can install in Uefi after you've done the upgrade to 10 and made sure its activated
