I use option 3 and works fine here. Have to wait to get some updates though too see if I really gets notified, but the settings says so.
Hi, can someone tell me whether it is possible to upgrade to Windows 10 from Windows 7 (Genuine) without SP1 using ISO???
Mr. Daz, First, thank you very much for the Loader, I used from long time ago, until Win8 arrived. Second, Following your advise to upgrade to Win10, what do you recomend, Win7 Pro RETAIL OR VL? Third, Can I use Win7 ULTIMATE in place of Win7 PRO? Thank you very much in advance.
#1. Affirmative . #2. Important is you install it in MBR/Legacy Boot Mode, else the Loader will fail. Recommended is Pro (since Ulitimate will also upgared to Pro). At least it makes no difference, so use what you already have, if you have. After Loader Install it will become OEM, equal you install Retail or VL. #3. see #2. HINTS : Spoiler
I install windows 7 home x64 and i activate it with daz loader, then i upgrade to win 10. Now i need to create a microsoft account to register my HW id and then when i clean install win 10 they known i have a genuine win10 or its work with local account?
No need for a MSA (MS Account). The HWID is bound to that specific machine and is logged at MS Activation Server. When you install now freshly, the system will look at it's own for that HWID on that Server and if found, you'll get activated instantly. No actuall need for interaction. It might need a moment though, since MS Servers get flooded by requests atm. And i'm sure MDL is guilty to cause a part of that Traffic ARRRHHHH!!!
can you still confirm that fresh installation of Windows 10 gets activation? i have upgraded Windows 7 with Daz loader to Windows 10, and i got Windows 10 activated. after i reformatted everything, fresh installed Windows 10, now it says Windows is not activated. Reports error code 0xC004C003 and says the product key is blocked. any suggestions?
Most likely (although not certain) is that the M$ servers are still taking a hit with everybody in the world trying to activate. This could also explain why some people have yet to receive the upgrade pop up even though they reserved Windows 10 weeks ago. Keep trying to activate and give it a couple of days, it will activate most likely. Your procedure going from Windows 7 to Windows 10 was activated so there is no reason it won't happen again, only the amount of users trying all the time.
i had upgraded my legit Windows 8.1 pc previously. after clean install on that pc, i did get activation error because of the server overload. but it was with a different error code and it was not saying that product key was blocked.
You will be good, M$ is going to unleash more Activation Servers in the coming weeks rights across the world this been in the works for the last 12 months and more will be going online each and ever day going forward.
Like AcuraTML said no need to worry. The servers are just taking too many requests from all over the world. Think about it, 14 million installs in the first 24 hours, 67 million in the first 72 hours, servers can only take so much. My guess is they underestimated how many people would be activating and the toll it would take. Or maybe they didn't and that's just the way things are. If you were activated after the upgrade, you will be activated again after the clean install but it will take a couple tries, worry not, you did well.
Maybe the Microsoft Activation Servers give preference to UPGRADES... and later FRESH INSTALLS... Sounds logical to me, as Microsoft are more worried that UPGRADES finish well, as the PCs already have personal info in them, in difference with FRESH INSTALLS, that Microsoft thinks you can wait a little, because you have no data in the PC.
Yeah that has to be the case for sure, also it might be easier to activate for the first time than to look for your particular hardware signature, find it and send back the activation. As long as we have a little patience we should be fine.
