But MAK or KMS isn't a disqualification for the upgrade offer so it shouldn't matter. I'm guessing the reason they change it to MAK is to upgrade KMS installs where the KMS server hasn't been updated for 10.
Not trying to hijack but does the same apply when activated using MS toolkit "EZ-Activator"? Upgrade -> Clean install -> Fully activated for this device?
I think it makes perfect business seance to allow everyone to upgrade This way MS has perfect hold on the market And everyone is happy and promoting windows because they got it for free
Everyone who upgrades from an OEM license will get that same key for the Pro edition. Upgrades use generic keys and your hardware acts as your unique activation code, so it's nothing to worry about.
thank you, that's what i thought since I have a legit win7 machine that got the same key. I hope they won't be asking me the code from the COA which is unreadable btw...
Here is what I did...copied from another thread... Added "did not enter key" line for clarification. Hope this helps... T
I've updated. Now I want to do a clean install with ISO, but I think asks me serial to install, no? Which serial I should set?
If you previously upgraded, you're activated, and now want to perform a clean install, just go ahead, skip any key requests and once installed be online for the system to activate itself again once it recognizes your hardware.
After im gonna arrive home, i will upgrade my Win 7 Pro activated with Daz s Loader and see if it works. Is there anyway that they can track copies activated with the loader or do they appear as genuine ?
That's a good question. Either they know and don't care or they're not really paying attention--it's a little hard to believe they couldn't figure it out, but you never know. Remember that they had an update to break it--I believe it worked sometime and not others.
