It is not working for him, for some strange reason. It works for practically everyone else.

    A little problem turned up:
I cloned my Win7 drive to a new disk. Both disks worked OK.
Then I installed the free Win10 on the new disk. Win 10 worked OK.
I used EasyBCD to create a dual boot. Win10 works OK, Win7 is suddenly an illegal copy.
I know I can install Daz again on Win7 disk but will it work in this dual boot configuration?

Boot to Windows 7 and open up msconfig. Set Windows 7 as the default OS so that you get the classic black boot menu back and then simply reinstall the loader.

You can change the boot order later. You just need to make sure that you're using the classic boot screen.

Daz loader never touches the bios. It is a specially crafted boot loader than runs after bios startup finishes, but before OS startup begins. When it runs, it rewrites the so called acpi tables stored in a special area of memory, and injects a slic table into this region if needed. The gui that you run is the loader installation tool which will insert into the OS (not the bios!) the proper key and oem certificate to match the slic table. If needed, it will then modify the boot sector and install the actual boot loader code so that it runs on subsequent reboots.

Did you install 3 times using the same HWID or 3 different systems? Not sure why you did this. Just re-booting and seeing it still activated should be enough.

    hi.new guy here!
from what i read it's better to activate a win 7 with daz loader than using a clean windows 10 install
now here's my question.i activated my windows 7 ultimate 2 years ago and i don't remember the method.do i have to install a new version again and activate it or just use daz on this activated windows?
also i turned off windows updates from day one.is there anyway to just download the update that is necessary for windows 10 installation or i must install all the previous windows 7 updates?i have a very limited internet bandwidth so i want to update as less as possible

basically,i want to know if this is the right way:
1)use dazloader on my already activated win 7
2)update to windows 10 using windows update
3)NOT using kms,daz loader or anything on windows 10
    3)do a clean install of windows 10
    thanks

    Affirmative!

Not Mandatory, you can also use the Upgrade, if it's running or perform a Reset (similiar to Fresh Install).

If you have the RTM ISO, no need for windows update, you can mount it in win 7 and upgrade/install it from there. Thats what I did

If your Windows 7 is genuine and activated, just upgrade to Windows 10 and claim your free upgrade. Once Windows 10 gets activated, you can do a clean install if you like from a DVD or USB drive. Don't enter any key - just click skip or I'll do this later. Activate Windows when you are online.

If your Windows 7 is NOT genuine, but activated using something other than DAZ loader, you should do a clean install of Windows 7 from an untouched ISO, activate it with Daz loader, then upgrade to Windows 10 like before.

    1. Type gpedit.msc in RUN or Start search box and press Enter. It'll open Group Policy Editor.
    2. Now go to:Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> Windows Update
    3. In right-side pane, look for "Configure Automatic Updates" option.

    4. The option would be set to Not Configured. Double-click on it and set it toEnabled.
Now select any of the given options according to your requirements:

    • 2 - Notify for download and notify for install
    • 3 - Auto download and notify for install
    • 4 - Auto download and schedule the install
    • 5 - Allow local admin to choose setting

PS: Select the last option "5 - Allow local admin to choose setting" to be able to choose options in drop-down box on Windows Update settings page.

That's it. Apply changes and open Windows Update settings page. Now you'll be able to change desired settings.

I followed the procedure by selecting option 5.
Since this change, I do not have the "Update" in Control Panel.
I gave everything to the initial state, but still no button "Update".
Fortunately, this change does not happen by activating the "tablet" mode.

No. Trust me, you don't need an existing SLIC. There's well over half a million people who would of upgraded to Windows 10 from a Windows 7 PC that was originally activated via the loader.

Although you say that you've done an online check the report suggests that you haven't.

    Code:
    HrOnline: N/A
Toggle the option to disable type 4 memory in the loaders advanced tab and then reinstall the loader.

You might be able to install the loader by setting the application to use Windows 7 compatibility mode, reverting to the legacy boot menu and then rebooting into safe mode. That's 100% untested though and it shouldn't be required anyway.

Thanks, will do another clean install w7 and try again.

It was a bit weird when I ran online validation. It was blank and need to refresh I/E to get last screen back.

    Edit:-
Didn't see your update while typing. Will try running loader in compatibility mode first as I'm now in win10.

I mentioned how you can possibly install it from Windows 10. It might not work though.

My one other suggestion is that when you're activating Windows 7 try to select a different key. Try either the ASUS or Dell key instead of the Acer one.

Everything activation related seems to be in a mess right now due to Microsoft's servers, so that might explain the blank page.
