What these so called License Channels? I think I know one. Retail. But what are the others and difference between them.

I just installed it and dd the check again. After couple of tries it show this.

I was using Daz loader with Win 7 ultimate SP1, upgraded to Win 10 Pro and running for 2 months now.... but due to being not sure still haven't used Cortana!
While trying to use Cortana its asking for Microsoft Account... and I don't wana get caught using a loader... So is it safe to use Cortana OR I can create a MS account using any xxx info. ?

This is a generic key assigned by Windows when you upgrade i.e. everybody gets this key except that not everyone got activated; at least I was one of this rare case.

You cannot use this key to install on other computers. If you clean install on the same computer that you upgraded, you don't need any key, just choose 'skip' when asked and will still get activated.

So just to reconfirm.....install Win7 Ultimate. Get it activated with a loader. Force upgrade to Win10 Pro using "Media Creation Tool", Win10 Pro will be activated?

Once confirm Win10 Pro is indeed activated, can i use the insider preview program?

Validate activation first just to be sure.

 

If i'm not mistaking, to use the insider preview program you can simply install win 10 and login with your insider program account during OOBE or sign in on the app which can be found at Windows update > advanced settings.

After I upgrade to win 10 from win 7 with loader, can I just use it or there is any reason that I better install a fresh win 10?

 

once you do the first upgrade you can directly install Windows 10 without 7. It only needs upgraded once to send your HWID to MS. Once that is done, every time you install Win10 it will look to the MS server for your HWID and activate 10 forever. However, if you change motherboard/CPU you will lose your activation since your HWID (Hardware ID) will be different.

Any planned upgrade of hardware should be done before July 29 so you have the option to install and get Win10 free before the deadline on the new hardware.
