Windows 10 Education question about deferring upgrades

    Hello all,

    I have access to a license for Windows 10 Education edition.

    I know from reading the feature charts that Education is basically at feature parity with Enterprise. One thing is unclear to me, however:

    Can Education be setup to defer upgrades (like the Anniversary upgrade) for long periods of time? I want to avoid Anniversary because I use WMC with cablecard tuners, and Anniversary breaks cablecards.

    Thanks for the link. I read up on this tool, and I see it can be used to fully disable automatic updating. However, I don't want all updates to stop - just upgrades. Can the tool selectively disable the Anniversary upgrade, but allow security updates?

    Yes it can. You select the updates you want to apply and you can hide the updates you wan't.
