haha i'm quite tempted to now. I'll play around with Wim_tweak a bit see where i get, if not then yea
I followed the instructions in the first post and I'm still getting automatic updates. Is there anything else I'm supposed to do to get the download button to appear?
Try (run as admin): CMD Code: @reg add "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate\AU" /v AUOptions /t REG_DWORD /d 2 /f or REG Code: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate\AU] "AUOptions"=dword:00000002
Does anyone have iso of Dutch (NL) Enterprise LTSB N ? I got few posts above this one, however this is only the LTSB and not the LTSB N nl_windows_10_enterprise_2015_ltsb_x64_dvd_6848442.iso Dutch SHA1:7FC6A594B50DC7E18804478B103BCA840AABBB6D
Well, this is interesting. I'm running Win 10 Enterprise LTSB N and have applied the below reg tweak to disable automatic downloading of Windows Updates, but it continues downloading the updates by itself... Code: @ECH OFF net stop wuauserv reg add "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate\AU" /v AUOptions /t REG_DWORD /d 2 /f reg add "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate\AU" /v AutoInstallMinorUpdates /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f reg add "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate\AU" /v NoAutoUpdate /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f reg add "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate\AU" /v ScheduledInstallDay /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f reg add "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate\AU" /v ScheduledInstallTime /t REG_DWORD /d 3 /f net start wuauserv edit: Not even Only GPEDIT seems to suffice anymore. Did MS release an update to force auto-updating again? Before i took the step to LTSB N i was running Professional, and the above worked. LTSB N was installed on a formatted drive, so i really don't get it why all of a sudden i can't be notified about updates anymore.
Same here, edited GPEDIT setting and added reg tweak but some updates are installing automatically. For now,Windows 10 does not offer anything that I did not have at Win 8.1. Instead it,offers a lot of other problems, hideous UI,requires 101 tweak and fix etc. I am returning on the 8.1 while the situation with Win 10 bit does not improve.
I am staying with W8.1 too. But W8.1 has not been studied as closed as W10 on where/when it phones home. Anything after W7 SP1 is now suspect. I hope some closer scrutiny happens on W8.1. I am hopping on W8.1 at least MS respects the disabled settings, since they don't give a damn about them on W10.
haven't you heard? it mysteriously makes new places to call home, sorta like a long distance call transferred to an outsourced answering service. Some serious AI in that Cortana!
