MSFT never has released real uptodate esd/iso's the last x years These esd's are the latest ones, just like the refresh server, and client 10 iso's.
Once there was the same problem with other downloadoptions by msft, when 10586 came after 10240 the techbench site also offered 10240 for a while after first offering 10586, maybe they are re-arranging stuff at the servers?
out of curiosity, what's the difference between the "combinedsl" & "combinedn" ESDs? example (compare "14393.0.161119-1705.rs1_refresh_clientcombinedsl_ret_x64fre_en-us_0fe1d2610eb6e348fe7710687b08a78b5fe371d0.esd" with "14393.0.161119-1705.rs1_refresh_clientcombinedn_ret_x64fre_en-us_c4f7beb09513622a4324e09e6655f481b4696274.esd"), other than name and file sizes.
combined = home/pro/education combinedsl = home/pro/education + home single language combinedn = home n/pro n/education n
I'm gathering informations to make my own windows build. I'm wondering if this ESD is more uptodate than this iso : 14393.0.161119-1705.rs1_refresh_cliententerprise_vol_x64fre_en-us_cbf97f9ee545d6bbff70c7fb9740e9fe5d6f4d77.esd en_windows_10_enterprise_version_1607_updated_jan_2017_x64_dvd_9714415.iso For the moment, I don't know if I should start my build based on this ISO or if I should use the ESD instead. I plan to integrate latests KB, remove some metro apps, include some reg files. Are ESD files generally more up to date than ISO files from MSFT ? I'm not talking about insider builds. Sorry if this is noob questions and maybe not the most appropriate place
The latest refresh (jan. 2017 updated) ESD's are exactly the same as the refresh Jan. 2017 updated iso's. All are 14393.447 build.
Hey, could you tell me how to create Windows 10 Home iso from Client Combined? Because my serial number is for Home and I can't see the option to install Windows 10 Home in the setup. Many thanks!
