I wonder if the update is syncing with your system bios date/time and wont install until certain time period on the 29th?
They are not expected anytime soon. Why didn't you make your own untouched ISOs from the ESDs you downloaded in the test program? Wouldn't be any different.
Weird. Install.esd (in $Windows.~BT/Sources folder) SHA1 does not match anything I've found. Did anyone else experience this? If not, can I delete the .esd that's there, and it will re-download clean copy? P.S. Is it again board rules to post my SHA1?
Why do you think MSDN won't have ISOs this week? I certainly expect them to be there very soon after the 29th if not exactly then. It sounds like you're thinking that they won't show up until the fall release, the one being targeted at corps.
Somebody, Paul I think, posted yesterday that they won't be available before the 1st at the earliest, Gabe said so.
SHA1 of ISO (using aboddi esd decrypt) also doesn't match anything i've seen online.. d12ada208cc78bf0b5a76498c43ed9df420e84cf *en_windows_10_pro_10240_x64_dvd.iso
Can someone explain how to get the iso from this esd file? and will it work, to make a clean install?
After forcing the upgrade with "wuauclt.exe /updatenow", upgrading Win10 from Win8.1, then activating Windows 10, will it still be activated after a format + clean install using an ISO created from Windows.BT\Sources\Install.esd? I have seen a report that this clean install permanent activation only works with the WZT iso?
