I have a clean install of W 10 build 10250. This morning appear a new folder in the system drive called "fb7ec1706a8c94fe1e310782" with 2 files inside : mrt.exe ( 124 mb ) and mrtstub.exe ( 88 kb ). My UBR is 16405 by now. ¿ May be the patch for Insiders start to download ?
I forgot about that rule about iso's sorry best not post it here my aim was to compare it to an existing copy to see if there are differences in any way.
Ok, just worked something out, my folder wasn't appearing, I was on a vpn to the netherlands at the time, I shut down my vpn and now I'm back on my new zealand IP and instantly the folder appeared and it started to download. The other thing I did is shutdown utorrent to free up bandwidth right before the folder appeared. So, it was either my ip address stopping it download or utorrent hogging all my bandwidth, I suspect it was my IP address as now I'm in New Zealand's IP range its the 29th in under 4 hours.
We'll im on gmt+2 so here it'll be 29 in 12+ hours but got the esd almost 3 hours ago... Thing is, it still doesn't want to start the upgrade.... Still says "We'll let you know when the upgrade is ready to be installed on this PC."
so if its not that then it must be I had utorrent downloading in the background, as I closed my vpn and utorrent at the same time, and as soon as I did the folder appeared and it started to download.
better to wait very late at night early hours of the morning due to problems with the gateway with the sharks plus Vietnam internet very slow ..
You guys must wait. It first download to some other temporary folder and then copies the files to $Windows.~BT. Then it checks for other incompatibilities, downloads other drivers... Depending on you hw and download speed it may take a while... But as, I've said, no need to rush, even when fully downloaded it still don't wanna trigger the update.... So just let it do it's thing.. And maybe in a few hours somebody will push the red button and let us upgrade.
Just got my $Windows.~BT folder. Sat at 140MB I'm in the UK 09:30 Was in the insiders program, I left it at the start of July. Have had preview builds on this machine, but not since June. I had 5 optional and 1 important update this morning, I updated and restarted then about 1 hour later I had the folder. I'm on windows 8.1 Now at 6.44 GB
If the folder is in the Root of the Drive where windows is installed, No folder appeared on my Windows 8.1 Pro Installation. Tried refreshing restarting and all updates are installed, there are a few optional updates which when I try to install, windows says they are not needed. All Windows updates shows is Your Windows 10 Upgrade reserved.
