Has anyone in the US upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 8.1 via Windows Update without forcing it to install/using Command Prompt?
Though My windows update still shows error with the windows 10 update but everytime I restart the system, the windows update screen opens automatically
I'm done upgrading. Things are good so far. I notice the folder Windows.old is dated " tomorrow, 30 July, 2015, 5:43:47"
I did a clean install of W8.1 Pro (retail) then I upgraded to W10Pro (with Media Creation Tool). Now W10 Pro is activated but when I do "slmgr /dlv" it says that part of my is "3V66T" on the Retail Channel. I thought that my original key of W8.1 would show and not "3V66T"? I did then a clean install of W10 Pro and it says activated but with a partial key "3V66T" is this correct?

pro or pro N 32bit yes thats correct, it's just a generic key while MS stores your activiation based on your hardware
Upgraded an 8.1 Pro install activated with MTK KMS to Win 10 via WU Win 10 was activated on first boot License info says Permanently activated - VOLUME_MAK

I downloaded the ISO via Media-Creation-Tool, created the USB-Stick via WinToFlash-Pro and just upgraded with it and downloaded the missing updates afterwards. Worked on my wife's Surface Pro 3 and I could even still join the Insider-Program for her as well. My Main-PC had already Build 10240, but I did it the same way without any issues too. The Desktop-PC of my wife is still in the making, but it's looking good so far as well.
