small question: I will install a fresh copy of W8.1 Pro tonight. A few weeks ago I already made a reservation but after that I did a clean install. Do I need to install on the fresh the KB3035583 to receive the push of this update? Or just leave the PC on and patiently and don't need to install KB3035583...
That's a reasonable question. Did not pay attention. The previous installation was an upgrade from 166 to 240 so the folder was there, what content was in? I will never know.
I've been on the Insider Program for ages, just left it, and I was permanetly activated all along, upgrade and clean install from retail 8.1 Pro.
Heh, surprised so many people are waiting on the GWX upgrade when this site has RTM ISOs/ESDS out the ass .
But people now are getting 7GB we got 4GB and i still think we are missing something here but that's my inner self talking now .. You know what i mean ..
for me windows 10 is downloading in C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download\ee70e170f963a63ede937862d5d7ab09\BIT5E05.tmp i see that file is about 2.8GB and increasing
Same here for me its C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download\8f36b36c5f97d84a69eedf4ec27435ec\BIT979A.tmp of 2.8GB Size and there are 2 more files. state and WindowsUpdateBox.exe and If I remember correctly the same exe was used to purchase windows 8 upgrade and it had the ability to download the installation files as well as create the ISO.
First things first for yall to understand. Each size will be different according to the type you will get. Also, it will almost 100% download and install all updates since it was made "RTM". So yes the size will differ a bit. Off topic a bit, my GF is upset that I already upgraded to Windows 10 a week ago and she does not have it (she wanted to wait)
